yeah i know its over my budget but i am willing to pay for it anyway.

Like people have said before you don’t really need a separate sound card since your mobo has one built in. Plus you’re going to need a wireless card and I think that uses and PCI slot as well but it’ll be taken up by your sound card :stuck_out_tongue: .

A gtx 460 would be alot faster than the gtx 550, and costs about the same.

wireless cards don’t need PCI-e. You can get usb ones

I don’t think i need a wireless card.

Hey I need help too. Every thing that i looked for had been too much or is not compatible with each other. I only have 500$, but i only want to use AMD so that i could play this game (https://store.steampowered.com/app/57300/?snr=1_4_4__13). (Another thing I want to run be able to run black ops and gmod with no lag) The OS i can get with out using my money because my gave me a free win7 so that part im good on, but I do need a wireless card because the desktop will be in my room away from the router. I don’t know who else to go to but if it is over the 500$ but like 150 or less then im fine. last thing I have tried to look but just had a really hard time finding the parts in my money range. And im not making another thread for this because it would get annoying so if I could get help with it i would be fine.

You were wrong. The thing to do is start your own damn thread

Ok I did not want to spam

You do unless you’re going to go wired, though I don’t know how that works.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Well I didn’t want to say something stupid about it because I’ve never used wired internet :retard: .

On topic but off topic; there’s no downside to getting your OS through… “alternative methods”

So, I don’t understand the sound card. It’s a waste of money, really unnecessary. I would drop that and the CPU cooler, I’m guessing you won’t be doing ANYTHING that will require a better cooler than the one that will come with the i5.

I’m running an i5-750 and a Radeon HD5770 and I have no run into a game that I cannot run on medium-high settings. For the titles listed by the OP this would be more than enough.

The rest of what is picked there looks good, but I would seriously consider dropping the cooler and the sound card and spend that money on a better GPU or CPU.

@Medivilae - Yup, I would drop the copy of Windows too, that would be another 100 bucks you could dump into perhaps a second GPU lol

I have 100 mbps wired internet so i don’t need a wireless card.

Just wanted to note that in the 1st pic the device pictured is a VoIP box, and not a modem/router

Which is an honest mistake because my router looks exactly the same except for the connectors.

Good point… I have the same thing, except it has 2 ethernet ports (in/out), so it’s actually a VoIP router. But I guess that one isn’t a router…

I just took 2 random images on google anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

And while we’re nitpicking here: Step 1 tells you to leave power cord unplugged. So how is that going to help anyone? No way, that’s how.

Hey guys i revived this thread because i have changed all most every component. Please tell me if somethings aren’t compatible (i am not really good at finding that out). And tell me if there is some things i don’t need to buy.
