Games that were supposed to be awesome but in the end were disappointing:
-Half life 2
I didn’t like
°The new storyline (combine, resistance)
°The stupidity of combine soldiers
°The lack of variety of alien creatures (no “boss” creatures such as the Gargantua or Tentacle, where you had to solve a puzzle to kill them)
°The lack of exotic weapons (compared to guns like tau/gluon gun, snarks, hivehand…)
°The neverending scripted sequences
°The constant feeling that I’m playing a game that has nothing to do with half-life1.
-Crisis
°I’m not a fan of the nanosuit, and the fact that your health regenerates. It makes the game too easy. In Far Cry you could play different styles (charge and shoot or tactic/avoiding direct fight), and you didn’t need any superpower-suit for that.
It would have been great IMO if you didn’t get to use the nanosuit until a certain point (1/3 or 1/2 of the game). It would have fitted perfectly: at the beggining of the game you are told your suit is “damaged”. But 30 seconds later it is magicly repared…
°Aliens. Wasn’t a very interesting enemy.
Just to be clear, I do think they are good games, just not as good as I expected.
