Games That you were dissappointed with

And they’re sucking more and more by the day. In fact, they started sucking when they changed their name from Electronic Arts to EA and made NFS: Underground. EA might as well have been doomed from the start.

BTW, anything on Youtube by Valve has an EA copyright claim. WTF. EA doesn’t own HL2, TF2, etc.; yet they have the nerve to say those videos belong to them!

And now it’s in Activision’s hands!
Be careful what you wish for.

This

The PC version sucked royally. The Xbox version was sheer win.

I can’t say I’m really looking forward to play any new James Bond games. The latest I can remember playing is 007: Everything Or Nothing, for the PS2. I actually liked it a lot more than I expected to.

All of the console versions were great. Some of the most entertaining splitscreen matches I’ve ever played have been nightfire.

This. It was great fun for me and my sister to play split-screen games against bots set on the hardest setting.

The Goldeneye mode that basically made it seem like God was smiting someone was fun, too.

Everything or Nothing kicked loads of ass and the cover system had actually been the first I’d seen in a video game. Not to mention picking a flashlight off the ground of a russian military base and throwing it at a guys face never got old. But goddamn were those Platinum Medals hard to get!

Platinum Gun ftw

BLAAAAACCKK ALIENS!:aah:

Agreed. The console version of Nightfire was awesome. 'Specially with those tiny remote vehicles…

My little brother and I always used to take the piss out of the shitty quips in Nightfire. “That’s stop them from… Radioing ahead!” isn’t a fucking quick, Pierce, don’t say it like it is!

It’s not really ONE game but I’m disappointed the sonic team was fired.
There hasn’t been one good Sonic game since Sonic 3d blast.
the vilain is not “Eggman”. It’s Evo Robotnik.

Mirror’s Edge was probably the most disappointing game I have ever played.

Run, run, shoot, run, kick, run, run, jump, run, punch and disarm, run, jump, run, game over. The end.

Oh, and Crysis. The technology used was awesome; graphics and physics and the whole visual sha-bang. But the story… it was sooo stupid. The story didn’t even end at the end of the game! There was no conclusion, just a huge cliff hanger. Not to mention that the story… it just lost any interest I had in it. Story bored me bad. Yeah, Crytek disappointed me after their debut, Far Cry. That game was sick, the story ended and the action was immense. Crysis was just… a huge disappointment when reaching the end. Very few weapons in the game too, that pissed me off.

Yeah… I still play it though. Well, I’m waiting for mods and singleplayer levels.

The greatest criteria by which you judge the story seems to be whether it ends or not.
:what:

Mind you, I didn’t like the story either.

Dude… first of all, that’s not really any different from many games these days, except Mirror’s Edge has less quick-time events. And plus, they said from the beginning that the entire game was based around parkour. Did you really expect anything else?! :fffuuu:

I didn’t, thats why I loved it.

I loved it too. Except it’s really short. I completed it in about 6 hours, maybe less. Oh and the SWAT guys were impossible to disarm.

I didn’t exactly dislike it, it’s just when I saw the trailer and everything with running across roofs, etc. I assumed that the game would be more based on open areas like that, not missle silos, and closed in office buildings.

Crysis is part of a trilogy, I wouldn’t expect complete closure if there’s more to the story. Half-Life had almost no closure at the end; there was more to the story.

Actually I agree a bit with you on that part. It’s like playin’ in a 10 x 10 feet sandbox surrounded by walls. You’re free to do what you want, but you still have to do what they want you to do.

I would have loved to have a Free-Running mode, or maybe a delivery mode where you have to do a Runner’s job.

I suppose someone could make a mod that does that, but wishful thinking can only get you so far.

If there were more missions that were like the first real one, where you take the package to Celeste, and things like that, I’d have enjoyed the game a lot more.

I just hope that this mod isn’t one of these types of things.
