MDK, Soul Reaver(would be nice to see it with improved gameplay and less god damn block puzzles), Sanitarium (altough I’m kinda one of the two people that has played this game, ever) and Super Metroid simply because FUCK YEAH.
I’d like to see the Ultima series remade, especially The Black Gate
:what:
:awesome:
On second thoughts, I don’t have a 360 and if they port to PC it will most likely be crap so meh.
The Halo series was done with the PC after Halo The Second. Don’t expect to see anything related to Halo on PC again anytime soon or ever.
I was thinking, Elder Scrolls “The Second” and “The Third” deserve remakes.
Kinetica.
Spyro the dragon 1. Not remade, but remastered.
Nope.
[allegedly]Nope to the Reach engine part. The remake is being done by Saber interactive, probably on their own updated engine.
So the movement speed, the jump height, and the overall feel is gonna be fucked up… But if the weapon balance is basically the same, and there’s no excessive changes, and there’s online multiplayer, then I’m fucking in.[/allegedly]
I read that, too. Honestly I’m kind of shocked, considering that bungie gave Halo to 343, which consists of a few former Bungie employees, and they’re letting some dirty shit company nobody’s ever heard of recreate the game that made FPS games palatable to a demographic other than disturbed society-murdering computer hackerz
Well, we’ll see is all I can say. Never played Timeshift, and all the people I know who have are pretty much split 50% as to whether they love or hate it (pretty much just like with Halo only that’s because I spend as much time with the console crowd as I do with the PC crowd).
And inversion looks kinda cool (for gears of war clone).
I am going to DL the timeshift demo now that I’m overcome with curiosity.
are they the people that made timeshift? That make sense, because the CQB permutation looks exactly like the helmet the guy in timeshift has.
Yeah they are.

I’d like to see MYST redone in a good engine. Maybe they could hire the guy who’s remaking Dear Esther to do it in Source.
Myst on CryEngine 3. Boom, problem solved.
Darkest of days. The concept was so fucking cool but the execution was so incredibly shit. I wouldn’t mind another go at it.
Wing Commander. The story was good I thought.
Which is kind of weird, and a shame. It’s Microsoft, you’d think they’d have had Bungie make the games for Xbox and Windows at the same time. Guess it was about making Xbox exclusives so there was a solid reason to buy the console. Still, I think it would have kicked ass if they could have made the Halo series for PC also. Their graphics are nice, but they’re all limited by the hardware. I would have loved to see what Reach would have looked like maxed out on PC.
Anyways, here’s hoping the remake of the first one is decent.
Silent Hill 1 and 2.
Resident Evil 2 and 3. Because the gamecube remake of the original was groundbreaking.
Clock Tower 1.
System Shock 1 and 2.
Warcraft 2.
Starcraft
Deus Ex
Half-life (obviously)
and Call Of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth. Though it has aged pretty good, HD Dagon with some good shadows, better surround sound, rain effects, moon lighting, and good water effects could be the thing that makes H.P. Lovecraft’s work come to life.

Not gunna happen so soon after this I don’t think.
Outcast. Never played it but it looked good from the screenshots.
The first Command and Conquer. (Don’t even dare to post in here about this mralexs.)
Dune 2. (Dune 2000 was a fucking abomination it seems.)
Last Ninja (1987) - Possibly the best C64 game ever.
Eye of the Beholder 1-2 (1990/91)
Future Wars: Time Travellers (1989)
Alone in the Dark (1992)
Although there are many remakes being made, only a few of them are worthy. What I like from the alredy released remakes are Bulderdash’s, the remake of The Great Giana Sisters (Giana’s Return) and the … re-release of Another World (known as “Out of this World” in North America).
Soldier of Fortune 1 & 2 - especially 2 for it’s multiplayer (it got me into online gaming).
System Shock 1 & 2 - good games.
Half-Life - thank god for Black Mesa…
Final Fantasy IX - basically just updated graphics and such and also just because it’s my fav Final Fantasy.
Codnamed Eagle
Duke3D
Deus Ex
