Games that deserve a remake

Games that deserve remakes because of how much you loved them back in the day, and why if you have a reason.

Steel Reign - Just remembered this badass PS1 game I used to play when I was like 5 all the time, just drove around in tanks owning, was pretty tough, and had an awesome soundtrack. Think it was low budget.

Music - Hidden Desert Base

Game was boss. I’d also love the have Crash Bandicoot 1-3 remade, love them all.

For some reason I can’t think of any others right now, kind of disappointed with that. And apologies if there’s already a thread for this, didn’t see one.

Think this thread has been made before, but anyways, Jet Force Gemini. Epic game, epic music, but it was way ahead of its time and was rather clunky to play on an N64 controller. It begs to be remade into a Mass Effect-style 3rd person shooter. Will it happen, probably not, but I would jizz my pants if it did.

UT99, Unreal and Half Life.

Insurgency was good, if outdated- ins2 plz?

There’s an old Sega Saturn game that I just love caled Amok. Such a wonderful, unrecognized game. Quite remarkable for the Sega also.

THERE ARE MANY, but hmmm…

Interstate '76

might and magic series ( but not the hand of UBIfuck )

LBA2

Pac-Man needs to be remade into an ultra-high graphics RPG

Enduro, River Raid, or Megamania.

Tetris.

Holy shit Jet Force Gemini! No one that owned a 64 that I’ve talked to remembers this game, it was awesome. I would love to see a modern day remake or sequel to System Shock 2, a game that most people I’ve talked to who have played Bioshock also haven’t ever heard of.

Dungeon Keeper 1-2 definately.

Unreal, definitely. Especially that Unreal Engine 3 is available for free for modders. Strange that there hasn’t been any attempt to remake first Unreal, at least from what I know.

carmageddon 1 and 2… and a final fantasy VII and VIII xD! aaweesoomeeeee gamees xD!

Soldier of Fortune, No One Lives Forever.

Keen and dungeon keeper

None, leading the way to other, new games, thus not stagnating the industry. No one tolerates movie remakes, why professional games? Mods are alright though, so I guess Deus Ex with more immersing animations, graphics and the like. If the first game had been that immersing it probably would have been my favorite game ever.

I’ve been playing Oni recently & think it’s pretty good. I heard it wasn’t very well received when it came out, but it does manage to mix melee & gun combat pretty nicely.

I think SS1 is in more need of a remake. I played SS2 & thought it was great. Before that I tried to play SS1, but the controls were just so hard to get used to compared to the more streamlined stuff we’ve got today.

Movies rarely have hardware compatibility issues.

Its rare that you can’t get around hardware compatibility issues, at least in my experience.
