Half Life 2 is what got me into gaming, so I have to go with that.

because someone else posted something stupid, that means the thread should be closed? I’m quite confused by that logic
Anyway i think looking back at the past ten years of gaming is intresting, it was a big decade for gaming that saw a lot change, from the mighty but unloved gamecube to the PS3 (Which I only mention, not based on its libary of games, although it is getting better, but for its specs which are the best on the console market). Why shouldn’t we pointlessly discuss and share our memories of a decade that has just last month left us? If you don’t want to contribute fair enough, let the topic die “maturely”
For me gotd would be CSS cause I put hundreds and hundreds of hours in to it.
But then I did put hundres, if not thousands of hours in to UT99, it’s just I had no xfire/raptr to track it…
And UT does have a flak cannon. Mmm flak
You aren’t very good with the ins and outs of gaming forum terminology are you?
no im not
and i have no idea what you meant by that last statement or what mistake iv made lol, enlighten me please…
/thread means that all other entries are invalid because that post is the penultimate. It’s typically used as a joke.
ohhh I thought it meant more close thread from here on in, thank you for that, next time I’ll know better
Halo CE. Fuck you flaming fanboys.
Runners up would be KOTOR, TES: Oblivion, SC: Chaos Theory or:

not actually my favorite game, but it seems like it was pretty influential for a lot of the games this decade.
half-life 2, black mesa and left 4 dead 2 counter strike source first valve game.
Half-life 2 and BioShock both top my list
Problem is Black Mesa will come out this decade (2010-2019), not the past one.
So… we can say the dev team pushed the release a decade later
Who said that it would come out this decade?
You now realize that the decade doesn’t end until 2011.
theres much debate over this but to me we’ve gone from 0 to 1, that says to me new decade, same as it was when we hit the millenium, the nintenies, eighties, seventies etc. Would you call 1970 the sixties?
Choosing between Dragon Age Origins and Half-Life 2 and WarCraft 3 and Braid is like choosing between Sex, Friends, Cars, Money and Movies. In the end, if you are only getting one of those, you become sick of it. The right mix of all those (and more) is needed for greatest enjoyment.
I can, to some extent, understand polls like “What is the best FPS of last 5 years” But asking people to chose the best game (from over a dozen different genres) is immature.
half-life 2. the next best contended, a game I really hate, is bioshock which, imo, sucked ass from a fat guy.
Well not really at movie awards for example you always have an award for best motion picture, could litteratly be any genre, its just down to personal taste
If it makes the topic a little more intresting for you and everyone else
