Half life 2: gaming at its best

peggle

peggle was brillant, i never thought watching a ball hit coloured pegs for two minutes would ever be as entertaining as it was, no thats not sarcasm, casul games arguably saw some of the best games come out of the last ten years, further proving its not graphic, its gameplay, take for example braid or ricohet

Warcraft III. Best fucking RTS of all time. And ultra custumizable.

I think I’m not alone when I say that Half-Life 2 and it’s kin (the Episodes) deserves to be called “Game of the Decade.”

Black Mesa. Oh, wait, nevermind. :frowning:

I loved Half-Life Episode 2, so it’s kind of tie between it and Half-Life 2. Halo 3 was also pretty great, but mostly for it’s mp and it’d be even better if Bungie finally released it for computer.

Garth, just shut up before this turns into another Halo Hate thread.

for me its a tie between half life 2(grew up on the series, amazing story and loveable characters)

or

Bioshock( quite possibly the first game to give you genuine moral choices AND have subtle philosophy messages in it while having good game play)

they were both amazing and hinted at the future of gaming

 such a good decade for gaming

Half-Life 2, not a doubt in my mind.

Orange Box.

I stand corrected.

Technically that is a collection of games, and not classed as one game.

Wait until StarCraft II comes out

Not if you have the console version… but the PC version is superior to the console version, if only for the modding capabilities.

It’s listed as one game on metacritic… :3

I have no idea and there are a whole bunch of close ones fighting for the top. I think it’s safe to say “none of them”.

That’s tough, only because in 10 years there have just been so many great games and I can’t remember most of the ones I played back at the beginning of the decade.

I would probably say “Portal” off the top of my head, but to mix it up and go with some great games from the beginning of the decade I’ll throw out “Banjo-Tooie” and “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask”. Not as good as the prequels, but since both were made before the decade, I’ll have to say the sequels.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
