Game Lagging

so I used to play DOW II with my friend in coop normally some time later it started lagging and only thing I remember installing was Portal 2. so can anyone help me with this?

check your temperatures

HD? it is 33 C
if you are asking about Processor I don’t know how to.
I have AnVir Task Manager installet btw.

EDIT: Found Out CPU temperature 59.

idle or load?

what does that mean?

Are you running a game when you get that temperature, or just sitting on the desktop?

I have now steam, skype, avg, and I am watching movie with gom player + opera. and that is current temperature.

Idle: When your computer isn’t running anything - just on the desktop. It’s generally a good idea to try to keep your idle CPU temperature below 45 - 50°C.

Load: When your computer is running something demanding like a recent game or a performance benchmark. Best to try to keep temperatures under load below 80°C. Most CPUs have a built-in failsafe that shuts off the system once it gets too hot (the cut-off temperature is usually 90°C or 100°C.

DOW 2 can cause some pretty high system temperatures if your cooling is inadequate, so it might be a good idea to check your CPU and video card temps after playing the game for a few minutes.

I recommend CPUID HWMonitor for checking system temperatures: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

interesting, I think I have a solution I ll try cleaning up cooler. and post the results.

I appreciate all your help guys

Well I think cleaning cooler doesn’t make much difference. :frowning:

Did you clean the graphic card cooler?

I cleaned Graphics card its temperature is 53, also the temperature I mentioned ( 59 C ) was of graphics card, there was GPU written and I mistook it for CPU.
I installed program recommended up and there are 3 temperature values for CPU
Dicode 1 - 93 C
Internal - 36 C
Dicode 2 - 38 C

Think you might just have a lot of stuff running. If you can afford to get rid of programs you don’t need, do so. Also are your hdd’s enarly full? Ideally you should have space to move.

I have 80 GB HDD C 20, D 55. 4 GB free on C and 5 GB free on D.
during game I only run steam and stop all unnecessary processes.

Use Coretemp and gpu-z to measure gpu anc cpu temperatures. Speedfan is shit. You can also try HWinfo.

https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html - I used this
GPU temperature shows 53 C
and CPU temperature 93 37 37 C

…93? :fffuuu:

I hope that was a 39 typo

93 C :frowning: ( yes I know. but I don’t know reason of it.

EDIT: After Closing All Programs including explolrer.exe and except AVG anti-virus I managed to lower it max to 83 C. won’t come lower I think.

it may be a faulty sensor

well, maybe this will help: when game used to play good I had 3x 512mb memory cards in, and through the sides weren’t even (1024mb and 512 mb) it worked well, after I installed fourth 512 mb card cpu usage went to high. when I had only 1x 512 mb card CPU usage at idle was max 10% now it is 20-25%.
