I notice a lot of Acronyms that I don’t know what they are. (Forum general and games alike.) Can we go ahead and assume that allot of people have no clue what they mean and instead of being lazy actually type out what you mean when talking about a video game? I can figure out what general forum acronyms mean but when guys talk about games I’m lost.

If by “use” you mean “us” then I mean it’s supposed to spite you guys because I know everyone will have some sort of annoyance to my comment. Everyone will rage and “flame” on my post because they think they are some sort of forum “god” and must make their opinion known that they know every acronym known in the forum world. Therefore I will not look up any acronym on Google JUST so I can be ignorant and ask any question I want.
Everyone can flame all they want. But it will not affect me in any way shape or form. I will still ask the same questions until they are answered. But google will not answer my questions.

Guzzi simply asked a question which could have disappeared into oblivion over time, but instead the usual peanut gallery has to chime in with worthless comments, looking for laughs and approval. Basically they need other people to make them feel important, there is no other reason for such angry and useless posts. Like I said, the thread would naturally disappear over time and Guzzi would get the hint without everyone’s bullshit.

What you say is true, but the Black Mesa forums have a reputation and some members will do everything in their power to uphold it. Everyone has to learn this lesson sooner or later. If you can handle the shitstorm of assholery and trolling, you learn, move on and enjoy the forums, and everyone is happier. If you can’t, you ragequit and everyone is happier.
If I’m honest if a post I’m interested in contains acronyms I google them; I have no idea what half of them mean 
Like any community, its full of acronyms so people can feel a part of it (take the armed forces as an example). Its not a bad thing, doesn’t take too long to pick up either. No-one’s asking you to use them (I don’t), but sticking the odd word into google isn’t the end of the world
