They arent even working on Half Life after Portal 2…
We didn’t even know that they worked on Portal 2 since 2007. And it was announced 2010. Just because they don’t give any information, doesn’t mean that they aren’t working on it. And Doug Lombardi said that they aren’t done with Freeman yet.

They have a small team working on it. In VALVe, you get to choose your own projects, and EP3 is the least favorite. (That’s how L4D2 got released so quick, other VALVe developers liked L4D1, and then all wanted to be involved with the creation of L4D2.)
Their next priority is DOTA2, then presumably EP3. That was in the interview.
Honestly I doubt that its the least favorite. Valves just a bunch of perfectionists and I like and hate that about them.
So what if they’re not working on EP3? It’d be nice if they were, but it’s not like they owe us anything.
I don’t think anybody’s saying they owe us EP3, it’s just that we all hoped that it had been out by now is all.

I wonder what he thinks of Super Mario Galaxy 2. I was disappointed by the original, but SMG 2 is a hell of a lot better.

The sad thing about this is, that none of the students even tried to ask about anything HL related. It looked like they don’t even care about the HL series anymore. But that’s just my crazy opinion. :3
