yes it has been stated that different valve developers come with the stoy on-the-go , so that means that talking about it only kills the posibily that will happen [if one of them reads the topic] , we should just wait , this topic’s name should be made g-man speculation , cause , from what info we got so far , a correct conclusion is by far impossible on what is gman.
Ouch.

Relax, that remark was directed at only one specific person.

ok one… im just throwing out my ideas… and two… interloper are you really that much of an ass that you get so much enjoyment out of teling people they suck or they are wrong seriously its a fourms lighten up ffs
I’m not telling you that you suck, afterall, I don’t know you. All that I’m asking is that rather than spew out your free associative drivel, you could actually put a bit of thought into your posts, it’s not that hard.
Back on topic please.
Will anybody be personally pissed off if Ep3 sheds no light on Gman’s identity/objectives? I myself would be a little down, having to wait until HL3, but honestly, half of my intrigue with HL is the mystery of Gman.
ps - always expect negative feedback when spewin stupid shit.
I’m actually prepared to not have anything further revealed about the G-Man in Episode 3.
As it stands, I can’t think of where the G-Man will fit into Episode 3, as it seems to me that Gordon is already working on G-Man’s objective of making sure the technology on the Borealis is secured and Alyx will probably fulfill the goal of using said technology against the Combine.
I think if any more info is revealed about G-Man it will be by the Vort’s (though likely what is revealed will be cryptic in nature) at the beginning of the Episode.
I have a feeling that Valve is going to focus more on revealing what Freeman’s relation to the “Vortessence” is going to be, and therein we’ll learn aforementioned cryptic information about G-Man.
Wait, Gordon has vortesccence?
Well, he’s bound to Alyx through some sort of power… there’s most likely a link between the ‘Vortessence’ and this binding considering the Vorts achieved this. Though it’s not clearly stated, I wonder if they are dependant on each other to the point of whatever happens to one also happens to the other (death?).
About G-Man reveals in Ep3: I honestly hope there won’t be anything major. I love Half-Life in the first place because of all this mystery surrounding the G-Man. Among other things.
If they reveal anything about him, it had better be perfectly thought out. Anything sub-perfect will probably come out sounding cheesy. So I think its best if they don’t reveal much if anything.
It’s not so much a matter of Gordon “having” the Vortessence as his destiny being interwoven with the Vortigaunts and their plight. It’s not like he can freely tap into it to launch eletrical attacks or see time from outside time.
(note, it’s been awhile since I’ve played H-L2:Ep.2 so my recollection of the more significant words the Vort’s spoke to Gordon about concerning the Vortessence is distant. So I am speaking of the impression I got from what I heard. Unfortunately for the life of me I can’t find either of the Episode’s scripts so I can’t cite directly what was said.)
BoT.
G-Man is the only one who can pop a wheelie with an unicycle in addition to me and Chuck Norris
Does this thread really need to digress into spam, kimmo?
The answer is no.
Why do spammers have such hardons for Chuck Norris?
Same here. I feel that, if I ever find out information about who Gman is, I’ll know that the series is coming to an end. What’s for sure is that I would hate to be directly told about Gman’s identity - it would be better to, maybe, corner him and force the truth out of his ugly mouth.
I guess it will all make sense in the course of - well, I’m really not at liberty to say.
Considering the way the G-Man admired Adrian Shepard (and reminded him of himself) and not Gordon Freeman, I think it’s Adrian or a close relative or something like that.
Adrian Shepherd is not Gman. And Adrian Shepherd’s cousin is not Gman.
Gman is God.
…
Yes.
