G-man

Gman is the announcer.

Either that, or he’s a sanvich.

i agree with the “gman is a spy” theory

Actually, he caused SHITnanigans because of how much shenanagins there were.

Maybe G-man is some pervert spying on Gordon who gives him magic 'shrooms (explaining the weird dream sequences) and fucking Gordon whilst he’s completely zonked. Perhaps he did the same to Eli. It would explain a lot.

like the missing leg n’shit …

I’ll admit I haven’t read the last 22 pages save this and the previous one, but anyway an idea just popped into my head. Here goes.

The G-Man looks like a human 'cause he chooses to since it is the best way of interacting with humans while not scaring the shit out of them. And he has interacted with Gordon, Eli, Cubbage etc. Anyway, that’s not my point.

My point is that maybe he is a member of a species thought to be extinct by the Vorts, maybe like a sibling species to the Vorts.
I think this because the Vorts do seem to know of his presence(when they are not distracted, like in EP2) and are able to stop him using their Vortessence. So maybe, just maybe they share a common ancestry, the G-Man’s race being slightly more powerful in some ways.?(It took about 5 vorts to stop him in EP1.)

AND the G-Man teleports just like the Vorts, without any visible technology.

He also is able to control Gordon in a similar way to the Vorts, when they save him from stasis.

So maybe the G-Man made the RC happen because he knew that in the end Gordon would be able to kill the Nihilanth and free the Vorts, which he would later use for his own purposes? But now of course, we know that wont happen since he’s not really in their good books.

I know I’m not really making a lot of sense but the similarities between the G-man and the Vorts are pretty apparent, the only main difference being that the G-man is able to disguise his true appearance.

So whaddya guys think?

I think that nobody wants to know what Gman is and we’d all rather just wait and see what happens instead of reading stupid ideas like these.

G’ordon-Freeman

Why are you reading this?

Awaiting kiddie-pool filled with gasoline and a box of matches:lol:

Nahh. It’s old now.

God damn, I thought we got over this already!

The G-Man is obviously Barney from the future. I mean, look at the evidence! Firstly, the G-Man is older than Barney is. After what Barney goes through in Episode Three, he gets promoted to liaison between the Vortigaunts and the Earth Resistance and goes back in time to help Gordon overcome the Combine Overwatch (much to the previously unforeseen consequences of pissing off all of Vortigauntia! Note: Do not sleep with the Queen simply because that’s what she calls herself).

And the most damning evidence of all? They’re both voiced by Michael Shapiro.

BAM!

No, we don’t know anything about the G-man and we’re not supposed to. We’ll learn about him in Episode 3. Or not. Episode 3 is simply the end of the current story arc (Combine versus Earth); it doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the misadventures of Dr. Gordon Freeman, PhD or his employer.

Who is PhD? Did Valve pull another Magnuson on me?
Anyway, I agree with you, we won’t know who Gman is until Valve tells us/finds out for themselves, but at least we can speculate, and then, in 3102, when Half Life 3 is released (or sometime around then :retard: ), we will find out that bastard’s secret, and someone will turn over in their coffin, and silently smile. Because they had guessed it back in 2009 on the ‘internet’ in the BMS forums.

That was a joke right… RIGHT?!? :frowning:

Dr. Freeman is? He obtained a PhD in Theoretical Physics from MIT. How did you think he obtained the title “Doctor”?

it’s a diploma…

Ph.D
Doctor of Philosophy

wOW. Who is PhD? Get in the fucking oven. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thats what I said!

I thought Ph. D meant something like Post-honours Doctorate. I knew it gave you the title of Doctor though.

Time to google!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
