G-Man Speculations

Gordon Freeman is the G-man! gordon became g-man and make his past him work for him and doesn’t trust his employer (also himself). It’s a loophole in space-time continuum and confusing.
Also Gordon doesn’t talk because he is shy and has an accent like G-man.

Note: opinion only

Gee, what a new and interesting theory. I have never heard that one before.

Me neither. Please, tell me more

G-man (Gordon) is making his past self fix his mistakes? making him do stuff for a better future?

god damn it here we go again

Well, that’s just stupid. Whoever made that is clearly unaware that Xen is simply a border world.

G-man is Cave Johnson. Thats the ticket!

Half-Life never made much sense anyway, that’s why I hope they have the upcoming story more thought-through so it was worth the waiting lol

G-Man is obviously Chell after sex change! How can you not see that? Gosh…

i started to get bored of G-man is -insert ANY other character here- All we know is G-man used Gordon to do stuff, and it seems like he does the same to many others.
Probably G-man wants to indirectly destroy the Combine, at the end we may get the happy ending or G-man is doing this so he could himself take the Combine’s place and dominate the world like the Combine did…but this time there is no mysterious figure to play with fate and apparently save the world.

I remember hearing this really fascinating theory about G-man’s employers; basically, he (and also his ‘employers’) were working for the Combine, and incited the resonance cascade to give them access to Xen, and by extension earth. Then the Combine went back on their deal, so G-man started helping Gordon again in order to get revenge on the Combine. I don’t remember all of it but I think that was the gist of it.

I always thought that the g-man and his employers were hired by the combine to retake xen from the nilianth, who was their only method of point to point portal tech and the last of its species. 20 years later, gman and his employers were hired by the resistance/eli/kleiner/vorts to fight said combine. the combine were so impressed they wanted to hire the gman to get gordon and use his talents. The vorts intervened and kept the gman at bay. Only when they were healing alyx did he get to poke around gordon’s head again. He says there is a price for the gordons survival. While it seems like his price is alyx’s safety. I think the price was eli’s life

That would explain why Eli calls him “our mutual friend”, if he was working for the resistance for a while.

Eli says it was the Gman who gave him the crystal that started the RC. He saved Alyx, which means he COULD have saved Eli and Kliener but we haven’t been told about that yet. The highest bidder comment by breen, the fact that Alyx, Barney and Issac were all waiting for Gordon to show up and the offer speech by Gman at the end oh HL2 shows that it matters little who he works for and he is willing to switch sides after the job is done. So, it seems he was hired by the resistance to topple breen, and Gordon did just that. Then, when Gordon was about to go to work for the other side, the resistance “stole” him. thats what I think

But that doesn’t explain who is G-man and what are his intentions

Valve refers to him as a “sinister inter-dimensional bureaucrat.” His intentions are to generate wealth by leasing out assets to interest.ed parties.
There ya go

Hi everyone! I’m new on this forum. I would ask you if you can report me any mistakes in my English grammar; anyway I think that G-man is an alien or something else… I really don’t know

The Only thing we know about him is that he is a non-human thing, he looks like a human, or at least he looks like a human for you.
G-man is Half Life’s ultimate mystery, he is the center of the series, you can’t call a Half-Life game a Half-Life game without something creepy watching you from the shadows, even Portal had cameras watching and glasses behind them “people” and Portal 2 had Wealthy sneaking up on you in the first part’s of the game, Team Fortress had the Administrator.
Valve’s kinda obsessed with Mysterious Figures watching the player.

thats make the game´s story more interesting and… disturbing?. :zip:

The Administrator isn’t mysterious, she regularly shows up in the comics.
