This is a small film (about 30 minutes) that made fans from Russia. After the first episode (04.13.13), the crew will return to work on the next episode of the film. The plot follows the events of HL2 and some supplements them.

It was interesting, but I can’t say I like how harsh the color correction and other filters are. Especially during the intro, that should’ve been vibrant as hell.
The CGI is decently good, though I bet all the camera effects were there to mask them.
CG compositing is drag and drop levels of easy as fuck. All you need is decent tracking data and nicely matched lighting, which is easy nowadays You can slap together an HDR dome with a damn smartphone. Color correction like that doesn’t disguise anything except maybe bad DSLR grain.
The acting was abysmal.
All I’ll say is, if you need someone to clean up the English, send a PM my way.
I’m actually thinking about doin an English dub. Does anyone know how to isolate audio and shit
If only I had time, I’d definitely be up for that.
If someone is really interested in the dub, you should contact the film crew. As far as I know, the dubbing was done in a separate studio in another city. I do not think there will be problems with dubbing, if one is interested in the environment of the global HL community. In any case, I am going to ask this question.
By the way, there was a film about how it was filmed. Sorry, but no English subtitles.

I just think that’s a terrible name.
I’m sure most Russians think your surname is terrible too.
Probably.
Though maybe “terrible” isn’t quite the word I’m looking for. I think overused and uncreative work a little better. That’s one of those names that you expect a notable Russian character to have in a lot of media. I guess it’s less bothering if it’s just a nickname.
On topic, I think they handled Freeman’s encounter with Barney pretty nicely. Though Freeman’s mannerisms in that scene remind me a bit of Ross Scott’s Freeman. :retard:
