Haiku can be 5-7-5 or 3-5-3.

Also, most people (including myself) get haiku wrong, at least, in the traditional sense, because it requires the juxtaposition of two images or ideas and drawing from nature.

So, something like this:

Waiting for the awesomeness
The sun shines brightly
