Firefox or Chrome?

I’ve used Firefox for a millennia, but I’m starting to wonder something; Is Google Chrome really better than Firefox?

I don’t know myself, but it would be great if some of you guys could help me choose what’s best.

Netscape Navigator with AOL 56k

the only browser you’ll ever need

:giggle: Gawd. I remember when I DID use netscape and aol and 56k.

And I use Chrome. I briefly used Firefox, but for some reason it never caught on in my house.

:s hrug:

I still use firefox, though chrome seems pretty good.

Though when I was using it yesterday I was trying right click and view an image and I didn’t seem to see any option for that, which I thought was weird cuz I do that frequently in FF

Both are fantastic but I use Firefox because I like the way it handles my downloads better.

Chrome is better performance wise and Memory wise(if you don’t fill it with cheezy toolbars). Last time I used firefox it slowly grew in size and ate out my RAM untill I couldn’t open any other program without it slowing up my comp for a while. This may have been fixed though.

Overall by default Chrome is better, but it depends on what you’re going to be using it for.

[COLOR=‘Black’]Both have “private browsing” if you need to watch some spicy ‘corn’. XD

Still happily using Firefox and don’t intend to switch unless Chrome/other starts doing something Firefox can’t do for me. Chrome screwed my computer up a little bit the last time I tried using it. Plus even though I’m not really paranoid about this kind of stuff, Google collects enough info about me from my emails and web searches, I don’t care to let them collect data about everything I do in browser which I’ve heard it does.

I don’t know all the technical facts, but when I used Chrome it was more or less the same as Firefox but flashier. I also remember it always had like 10 processes running for whatever reason. I myself stick with Firefox.

Chrome opens in 1/2 the time. That’s the only reason I use it over ff. They are both very good browsers.

Also I like the tab system in chrome a little more. But that’s not why I chose it.

I used Firefox for forever but it just got to the point where it got unresponsive and slugish. I’ve since switched to Chrome on my main computer, though still use Firefox on my laptop. It doesn’t seem to have the same problem on there. It also seems to freeze frequently on Youtube videos on my main computer but nowhere else for some reason.

Chrome runs each tab in a separate process so that if one crashes it doesn’t take the whole browser down.

Opera

I remember using Q-Link (AOL’s predecessor) and a 9600 baud modem.

It did that on mine too for a brief time, though it eventually stopped and began working again.

My household has been Firefox users since 2008. I also like Firefox alot more because of the customization options for the browser.
Edit: Just noticed I’m a houndeye now.

i use ie , chrome , firefox and opera , at the same time , all having a gmail box opened [ i use 3 mailboxes : one for paypal/banks/visa , one for the bikes and last one for the rest 8=] ]
you need to use them all because websites are mostly made for firefox and older for ie .
chrome is not perfect and bugs when too many tabs are opened and use flash files .
chrome os : cr os is nice and has wine support integrated : https://getchrome.eu/

I use chrome, fastest browser for me, plus I have a pretty cool background.

I like Chrome just for it style

I can’t use Chrome. It interferes with another program that I use. And I don’t like the lack of menu bar in Chrome (i.e., “File”, “Edit”, etc.). On Firefox 15.0.1 right now.

Chromium (Iron portable).
Also, started playing with Aurora FF recently, it might just win me over.

Aurora Firefox? I’ve heard a little bit about it, but is it better than the standard FF and if yes, why is it?
