Favourite Half-Life 1 tracks

Had to be done eventually… tell me your heart doesn’t quiver in delight when a certain tune pops up! Cast one vote for as many tracks as you prefer.

Although Track 11 is truly awesome, by carrying on with the Valve intro that made us fall in love with the game before even playing it, I’ve gotta vote for Vague Voices just because it affirmed my intrigue in this game for life.

I’m also voting for Hurricane Strings, since I woke up on the morning Hurricane Dennis was going to hit our house, turned on my MP3 player, and had it aptly pop up first thing (via shuffle).

Oh, and Threatening Short is truly threatening.

On the subject, anyone notice how reality television loves to use the same intro sound bits as featured in Adrenaline Horror?

The one that plays during the ending credits.

Hard Technology rock

Valve Theme, (Long Version). Nuff said. (It’s technically Hazardous Environments though)

“Nuclear Mission Jam” nuff’ said.

Military Precision

Valve Theme (Long Version) and Dimensionless Deepness.

Nuclear Mission Jam.

:jizz:

My favourites (the favourites of my favourites in Red :stuck_out_tongue: ) :

10. Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar
11. Valve Theme (Long Version)

Vague Voices.

The first track you hear when entering Half Life, and in my opinion is the most powerful and atmospheric. If it was up to me, I would end HL2:Ep3 with it.

My favs? Surprised no one said Klaxon Beat yet. That ones good.
But all time favorite is Credits: Closing Theme.

My choose:Adrenaline Horror,Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar and Nuclear Mission Jam.

only on the HL2 soundtrack

anyway, i vote for Vague Voices. that’s the first song you here, and tells of the impending doom

Guess what i found…for those who are still looking for the HL1 soundtrack >> raw_bean: links removed

Enjoy!

Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar

I also found Opposing Force’s Original Soundtrack on the same blog as i posted earlier!

Check it out, it’s by a guy named Chris Jensen >> raw_bean: links removed

EDIT : The same blog has complete Bioshock and HL2 soundtracks too!

That’s considered piracy, distributing game files, and music for free that was intended to be paid for.
I know it’s only music, but I know piracy links aren’t liked in these parts.

Also, the opposing force soundtrack is boring, every track sounds like the previous one.

LamboMan one time linking was enough I think. I recommend the Bioshock Score, I followed the making of it on the 2k forums they came up with a complete list of the songs played throughout the game and the blog owner hunted down every single music piece.

I agree with that.
