Hazardous Environments long of course. I loved the bass
Hah, I’m surprised how many people are referring to the valve theme as Hazardous Environments (In fact I’ve never heard of it called that before until you guys revealed it’s on the HL2 soundtrack)
The names I have were the ones extracted from my Half-Life game CD, so I’m gonna stick with what it has… But I must say, I thought at least one of you smartasses would say you preferred Track 1, the data track for the game Originally I was dreading it, but now I’m disappointed!
I want the soundtrack on my mp3 player. I have the game, so I COULD do that legally without paying, right?
The Credits/Closing theme track would have to be my fav, but Klaxon Beat and Nuclear Mission Jam are close contenders.
Also, a lot of the Op4 soundtrack (done by Chris Jensen) is very good as well.
I can’t decide. They’re all so epic. therefore, my vote is all of them.
If I had to choose, the valve theme/hazardous environments, guitar ambience, or the end credits. Though I like the surface tension song a lot, and the drum beats were decent too.
[COLOR=‘Red’]Well, the owner of that blog clearly states that he only puts up music that ISN’T commercially available anymore or wasn’t in the first place.
I always thought that the HL 1 soundtrack wasn’t available commercially and even that guy states that he had to extract that music from the game itself. Same for Op4’s soundtrack. [COLOR=‘Blue’]Correct me if i’m wrong, though…
Ok, i will agree about the HL2 soundtrack being pirated on that blog, but tell me, is it still commercially available anywhere?? And anyone with GCFscape could extract it from their legit copy of HL2…
Uh, I’ll be honest and admit that I have no clue of what it is called, but I love the tune that plays after Gordon obtains the HEV suit. And, honestly, I didn’t really pay attention to the other songs as I played…
^ Klaxon Beat +1 for Jokerine
He’s distributing games files. You aren’t allowed to rip DoD:S models from the game and post them on the internet as a gmod download, and the same goes for music.
Also, get your old HL1 or OP4 cd, and put it in your CD player. That’s right, it plays. It’s designed to sell the soundtrack with the game, and so both of them are commercially available.
What he’s doing is piracy.

Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar
best one (8
Doesn’t matter if it’s commercially available or not.
Legally, no, but it does make an interesting ethical adjustment to the situation, a moral justification, as we humans cheer (and should cheer) for Robin of Loxley, who takes riches that are beyond attainability, no matter how much work is done, and distributes them to those that would never have it.
Which is why I rip and upload music and movies to the internet.
Praise me like a god.
Hard Technology Rock and Electric Guitar Ambiance
Sirens In The Distance is easily one of my favourites. I’m not sure why or how, but something about the music got underneath my guard when I descended into ‘On A Rail’ for the first time.
Dimensionless Deepness was also fantastic, just for communicating Xen to the player in such an efficient way. Napal Monastery was also brilliant, and fit perfectly with Blast Pit.
Others stand out as well, but those three sum up Half-Life for me.
Can anyone tell me how to find the music in this video?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbw_ZiZfEfU
btw it is different from original music.
i hear Nepal Monastery often on tv or somewhere else… do they justtake it, or is it something common ??
and i also heard the end credit song (or a different mix butnot the hl2 one)
in the southpark episode where the devil gives a birthday party ?ß
can anyone confirm these ?
Eric Fong : This is just Diabolical Adrenaline without guitar riffs
ODB is right, it is pretty much Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar without as much guitar… and I must say it will be hell to track down an MP3 the same variety as from that trailer.
Now, my memory isn’t crystal clear on this, but I could have sworn someone tried remaking that song. Unfortunately I don’t have the product of their labours, nor do I remember where they posted it. The internet is a large place
I have heard Nepal Monastery’s flute melody used on television. I believe it’s from some audio collection which the Half-Life soundtrack also utilized, along with the opening theme from Adrenaline Horror.
And yes! I just watched that episode of South Park online, and I heard the background beat to the credits song! It also sounded as if there were some words to it… I wonder what sort of remix it was, or I wonder if it was actually original to Half-Life… hmm…
