Favorite Game Quote

What is your guys’ favorite quote from video games? I personally like the Freespace 1 Ending monologue:

I know why the Ancient ones were destroyed and I know what they knew. I know that if not for the Shivans, they would have perished long before. Without the Shivans, someone would have discovered the Ancients in their infancy, and eliminated them, just surely as they eliminated countless billions of others.

I believe it is only the destroyers who are killed. The Shivans are the great destroyers but they are also the great preservers. That is why when we moved into space, there was no one powerful enough to kill us. Long had we been the destroyer. Our turn had nearly come.

In the Vasudan war, we learned how to adapt, we learned how to study our enemy, we learned how to overcome, we learned how to survive. And so we did.

All the jump points from Earth are gone. But the Shivans can rebuild them. I’m told we can expect them again, but not in my lifetime. Such is liberation.

The “War Never Changes” monologs from Fallout.

Any speech by G-Man in Half-Life.

I don’t recall if it was just the trailer or if it was in the actual game but “We all make choices but in the end our choices make us” in Bioshock.

“I’m getting my shit pushed in” Battlefield 3, makes me laugh every time.

There are soo many good lines in Pyschonauts. Its hard to name just one.

“Its dangerous to go alone! take this”

“Music is wasteful and stupid” from some chick in Borderlands, that line succeeded in making me hate that bitch so much.

That’s all I can think of right now.

“We require more minerals” - Zerg Overmind

“Politics, how tiresome” - Prophet of Truth, Halo 2

“We all make choices, but in the end our choices make us.” - Andrew Ryan.

Or, if I am to be issued a challenge, the quote that comes to mind is…

“It’s time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I’m all outta gum!” - Duke Nukem.

The world is full of stories, and from time to time they permit themselves to be told…

Enisi from Prey…

“When you get to hell, tell them i sent you. You can get a group discount.”

Caleb from Blood II

“Get out of here Stalker!” STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl

“That’s one Doomed Space marine”

“I ain’t afraid of no Quake”

-Duke Nukem 3D

“The trick in my situation was that there was no trick, no matter what the movies tell you. No rules, no secret mantra, no road map. It wasn’t about how smart or how good you were. It was chaos and luck, and anyone who thought different was a fool. All you could do was to hang on madly, as long and hard as you could.”

 • Max Payne

I said come in! Don’t just stand there!

You can’t go there!

“How appropriate, you fight like a cow.”

-All of the Monkey Island games.

“Wahara koloodlia na da.”

-MEC commander, Battlefield 2.

Battlefield 3 (sp campaing sucks, but this quote is good):
Bro, America was founded by terrorists, for terrorists. What do you think the fucking revolutionary war was? History is determined by the motherfucking victor.

Chronicles of Riddick:
When I say goodbye, it’s forever.

The dark… are you afraid? I’m not. The dark is afraid of me.

You said you’re used to living hard, so dying should come easy.

They say… hope begins in the dark. But most just flail around in the blackness searching for their destiny. The darkness, for me, is where I shine.

Fallout: “War never changes”
Metal Gear Solid: “War has changed”

You came to our country to murder us, yet we are the terrorists?
It meant a lot when you think about it

“Hey, catch me later - I’ll buy you a beer!”

The whole of Minecraft ending sequence ._.

“QUICK! Name the seventh even prime number!”

“I–I can’t figure-e-e-e-e-eeh-e-u-h-e-u-he-”

Fucking Tron 2.0

The one I can think of right now is
“Bloody fruitshop owners!” - the Sniper

“In the end, what seperates a man from a slave? Is it Money? Power? NO! A Man chooses, a slave obeys” Was a man sent to kill me? or a slave?" - Andrew Ryan

I loved that speech.
