I agree. I love normal headcrab zombies. Just because of the awesome model and NPC the BM team did. Great work guys, your model looks WAY better than VALVe’s.

My fav would have to be Advisors, we just don’t know enough about them and i think the telekenesis is kick arse.

My favourite opponents from every game are the average soldiers that you encounter now and then. In HL 1 it was the HECU Marines, and in HL 2 now it’s the Civil Defense / Combine Soldiers. It’s just freaking awesome to engage in a fierce firefight with them. I love the sound of the HL 2 SMG (it’s a Heckler & Koch P.D.W. - “personal defense weapon” if I am not mistaken). Wish I could replace the SMG Sound in my Half-Life: Source Version with that.
Second to that, I really like the zombies, because they are such fun to kill. I like to use the g-gun to haul sawblades against them, or setting them on fire and retreating while watching them burn. Hahaha! evil
The most awesome boss creature I have yet encountered in Half-Life 2 is the Strider. Whow - I was feeling as if I was in the middle of War of the Worlds! The animations are so cool, the sounds that they make, the cunning ai (I got some nasty surprises while trying to hide from them). Big badass babies.

Yeah, it looks pretty cool. I read somewhere that the AI for the fast zombie was originally made for this, but once it was scrapped, they just used the AI for the fast zombie.
I also like the hydra (at 1:26).
But my favourite creature that’s actually IN any Half-Life game would probably be the good old-fashioned headcrab.

Favorite creatures from HL1: HECU and Vortigaunts. HECU for giving a hard time and the Vorts because I loved killing them with the Spas 12:-)
Antlions- Simply one of the most badass things in Half-Life. It’s like combining Starcraft and Starship troopers. Amazing to fight in swarms.
Fast Zombies-Another awesome creature. I fell in love with them at Ravenholm when they chased you across rooftops and climbed up gutters.
Strider-Just holy shit. Epic, Huge, and defiantly one of the most “alien” things of the Combine. And they make some badass sounds.
Personally, ive just loved the gunships from HL2.
Theyre just so awesome, they float around with huge fans and shoot down any rockets coming towards them. And they always look out for their buds when theyre in pairs

The Tentacle - Its big, green and awesome!
Spore Launcher - Technically, its a weapon, but its so damn CUTE. It squeaks and to SHOW how cute it is, gearbox even put in the idle animation where Shepard strokes it after it squeaks ^-^
HEADCRABS! - … But not fast headcrabs. Poison headcrabs are hairy and sqeaky, and squeakiness makes ANYTHING good! Standard headcrabs are just so cute. Kleiners got the right idea debeaking one and keeping it as a pet
Striders Theyre tall, awesome, tripedal and have logic-defying cocks.
Hunters Blue, mini tripods, theyre just so AWESOME. And, alike the gunships, they always watch out for those darned Magnusson parasites on their daddy Striders.
