So after playing the second throwing knives mini-game I can’t throw rocks and use camera anymore and it seems to be a common bug https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/731853-Far-Cry-3-isn-t-allowing-me-to-equip-my-Rock-Camera-or-let-me-inject, hopefully they’ll fix it soon.
Gonna be picking this up on steam tomorrow. Just wondering for those that know, is the deluxe version worth it? It says it comes with a couple of extra missions but I’m not sure if they’re worth the extra $10 or not
I can say for certain that the ‘lost expedition’ missions are an absolute waste of time and money.
Thread is deceased, I know, but has anyone got tips on making it run better? I’ve got a shitty computer and according to Razer Game Booster I’m getting a majestically steady four frames a second. I’ve tried forcing PostFX and SSAO to “false” and “0” respectively, but that won’t work for some reason. At 4 FPS, is it worth it or should I just trade it in for something less demanding?
Four frames per second?

Does your PC generally suck?
Jokes aside, though, 4 FPS is completely unplayable. At that rate, there’s really nothing you can do to improve it short of a completely new rig.
What are your specs? Four fps is crazy low.
What, Like Quake?
Nah, I’ve found quite a few recent games that run better, but yeah, my PC is generally terrible. That was kind of unexpected though honestly because I have been able to play Borderlands 2 and Just Cause 2 at an average of 50-60 FPS.
@Kairouseki I’ll check in a minute or two, I’m on my iPad and I don’t generally memorise these things :retard:
Lower your resolution. Kill explorer.exe when you launch the game. Put it in fullscreen if it isn’t already so you don’t render the desktop. Try increasing your virtual memory. Kill all unnecessary tasks. Get a non-steam crack for it so you don’t have to run steam. Make sure its running in DX9. Update your drivers.
^Funny enough, running in window mode actually makes it a frame or two faster. I don’t have it on Steam, only uPlay. It’s at the lowest resolution, which is still almost double what I play most games at. It’s on DX9. I’ll have an attempt at all the other things. Thanks, probably. My god, that’s a lot of sentences.
I tried running it on my old laptop, it nearly fried the video card. It was doing better than 4 frames a second.
At some point you have to realize that maybe, just maybe, it’s no use to keep trying to play modern graphical intensive games on such an outdated computer.
I realised that long ago, I just don’t have the money.
EDIT: Specs, if anyone still cares
Windows 7 32-bit
