I think you can run it well with everything on ultra.
My specs are considerably lower and I can run it totally maxed (except DX11) at 720p with very smooth framerates all the time.
AMD Phenom II quad-core 3.4ghz
4gb RAM
Geforce 9800GT 1GB (ancient card by today’s standards)
Maxey, who do you think would flock to this game more — the lovers of Far Cry 1 or the lovers of Far Cry 2?
Both, either and neither. It’s a great game on its own and anyone should give it a spin.
It 's the best looking game on the lowest settings that’s for sure.
Everything on low DX9,I am still at the beginning, tweaking the shit out of it,my ATI 6770 is getting old, need to retire it soon…
Crysis 2 low’d out looks pretty good too
So this appears to be pretty good then?
Do the guards respawn in an outpost the instant you walk 100 feet away like in Far Cry 2? That bugged me so bad.
I still don’t get why people liked Far Cry 2. That game has made me very angry with it’s high respawn rate and simplistic AI. Suppressed weapons alert everyone in the fucking area. Even just swinging a knife at nothing will summon a ton of guards in the area. Allright, so WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT OF HAVING A SUPPRESSED MP-5 IF I CAN’T STEALTH KILL WITH IT?!?
On FC3 however, what also worries me is how it’s being marketed. A bunch of stuff in the web banners spits out winners like “LIKE SKYRIM WITH GUNS” or “A DASH OF RED DEAD REDEMPTION.” Shouldn’t games be marketed and reviewed on their own merits rather than doing apples and oranges comparisons to other, completely separate experiences?
So is everyone else getting the service error?
I thought I stuffed up my install/save somehow, then I found out I’m not the only one getting this error
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/11/30/far-cry-3-servers-down-already-ubi-this-is-a-mess/
and I already went and uninstalled, my savegame better still work
No, you conquer outposts and they automatically become your faction’s. Yes, you actually have a friendly faction at your side in this one.
That’s more modern times than anything else.
Party hard, motherfuckers.
How are you guys handling the stuttering problem everyone seems to be encountering?I tried everything, from MSI Afterburner to editing GamerProfile file and nothing helps.
No stuttering here.
No stuttering whatsoever.
This game is fantastic. It honestly feels exactly how it’s supposed to: a huge living island open for you to explore. The only flaw I can see so far is how inconsistent the pirates’ vision is. One minute I’m able to walk right next to them and they don’t seem to care. The next they spot me in a bamboo forest about seven meters away and it’s like I’ve triggered WWIII.
I give them massive credit for how optimized the game is, though. It runs like a dream on my admittedly aging machine.
What are the boundaries to the map? I felt tempted to give it a test with a jet ski, but after a while I turned back because I enjoy being held captive by pirates.
Then you are lucky, anyways I have found a weird solution for it:every time I start the game I paly for a couple of seconds and then reload that checkpoint and that seems to have done the trick,I don’t know why but but as long as it works I don’t give a fuck
I hope you guys are enjoying your stolen copies. What with this being a studio that actually gave a fuck about doing a proper port. Nothing like shoplifting from the comfort of your own home, eh.
Careful with that high horse. You might fall from it and hurt yourself.
If you must know, I have the game coming to me for Christmas. Yes, it’s an absolutely delicious game. And I will play the fuck out of the version I bought, after I play the fuck out of this version because I can’t wait.
Besides, don’t you have some incoherent and intolerant America hating to do?
if this was EA, I would totally be with you, but it’s not and the PC port IS nicely optimized
