Hey, that was DLC, so it doesn’t count.
That’s what blind people do. Not deaf. Or was that some kind of a joke?
its cannon dlc so it does count. dog needs to find the unimatrix and use that
ow yeah
Optimus Dog
From the questions Gabe asks in the videos, it seems like the character himself might actually make an appearance. Also, if it were simply background, then there’s that raises the question as to why he’s never done it before.
Talk about research eh? I’m very impressed with the level of research, detail and thought the put into every single piece of their games. There is no doubt Episode three will be well worth the wait, even though I cant wait any longer! I’m such a hypocrite
I just found this today.
Whose bright idea was it to request a CS sequel lol?
No real news… L4D2 looks better than I expected though =)
My suggestion
Note: This was in no way taken from Valve, although they might read this thread and get some inspiration.
Gordon wakes up in the helicopter with Alyx and DOG, who stored his weapons for later in the back. She is very sad, and they fly over other cities in northern Europe. The helicopter suddenly crashes and they are met by Combine soldiers in a city who are immediately kept at bay by Resistance forces of that city, including Barney.
They journey out of the city and communicate with Mossman, then take a teleporter to Kraken Base, but Gordon is taken aside by the G-Man, who tells him that he had recruited another, who would come to his aid. Gordon is returned, and they are met by Mossman, along with Gina Cross, Colette Green, and a deaf worker.
They are in a protected area from where she was when she made her transmission, but the Combine slowly break through, and they battle and escape into a sub to the Borealis.
They arrive at the Borealis and are attacked by an advisor, which is attacked and killed from behind by Adrian Shephard. He leads them into an area where a few vortigaunts are helping kill advisors.
They journey into the ship’s portal’s core, with some advisors along the way. At one point, the gravity gun is infused with dark energy, allowing for easy advisor killing.
Before they enter, they see a few old videos where Cave Johnson’s wife’s (based on Ellen McLain) brain is being put into GLaDOS, and the coordinator of the Borealis watches the GLaDOS activation; the GLaDOS transmission goes out first, then the first portal storms appear and they are forced to test the portal to escape the phenomena.
They enter the core, and are met by the lead advisor, who traps everyone except Gordon and throws his weapons to the side. Instead, Gordon finds the gluon gun and battles with it. The advisor eventually dies and, as a result, crashes into the core and destroys it. The G-Man saves everyone and reveals some truths to the backstory of the Combine invasion and the Black Mesa Incident to Gordon and Shephard, and leaves them in stasis once again.

BAHAHAHAHAHA you lost me
my tree fiddy cents!
We fade in to Alyx flying the helicopter. She’s in an obsessed and determined state since her dad just died right before her. We’re right above the arctic area, glaciers and snow all below when Combine forces shoot us down, sending us crashing onto a mountain of ice that overlooks the bare land. We notice a Combine fort in the distance, and make our way towards it while geting the hanging of all the slipping and sliding in the snow. Once Gordon single handedly overtakes the fort, Alyx finds the location of the Borealis, which is still half buried in the snow. The area is crawling with Advisors so half the battle is getting inside the damn ship (can’t even speculate on how to kill those giant maggots). Once inside, Gordon finds a half frozen GLADOS! in the main cargo hold. After a gunfight, Glads is somehow revived after the ice is melted from all the outside interference and opens a portal to the Combine home world! We step through and . . .
who knows what after.
im sure im nowhere near what Valve is going to give us. Can’t wait for what, next year is it?
Posts like these almost make me want to bet on Episode 3. Because I’m just that sure you guys would lose it by a mile.
Agreed, no Green, Shepard, Cross, or deaf scientist. I do like the idea of a beta GLADOS. I bet there will be large ice terrain puzzles, a portal puzzle and a big advisor fight, gunnery in a chopper, Dog talking in ASL and a requisite series of G-man sightings and a confusing interlude with the man himself.
A glacier jumping puzzle is a must for me. and also why do people even mention Shepherd anymore? I never found his purpose all that important.
I`m betting of first person sex scene…
My god… Is there ANYTHING? I can only play the entire Half-Life series so many times before I can no longer pretend to not care that I have no idea what happens next! :fffuuu: GABE! Why do you torture us so!?
Shepard was important to the original Half Life arc because he was one of the marines sent to capture/kill Freeman. Considering how HL2 introduced the Combine Invasion (Shepard’s team is probably dead by now), I don’t really see how Shepard can come back in. Seems sad that he can’t rejoin the fight though. Or can he?
I’m kinda worried about where Barney went. He’s too important to go missing for more than 1 game. At least - if he died, which he can’t, of course - they could MENTION where he is or something. Maybe he could rejoin Gordon and Alyx to finish the fight? (no Halo pun intended)
God I’m rambling again.
srsly, take out Shepherd entirely and you see he has no purpose in half life at all other than to be the protagonist in a shitty addon. why even mention the guy?
Even Stalin and George W Bush have fans. Don’t worry about them.
Shitty addon? Excuse me? Opposing Force was one of the best - wait, no, IS one of the best - expansion packs for the original Half Life. Please do try and improve your grammar and spelling. Oh, and please don’t insult games before playing them and/or doing some research.
Yes, sensai. I played Opposing Force and it wasn’t my cup of tea. Sue me for calling something you like a boring and unnecessary pile of meh.
