Episode 3 Discussion and Information.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lamarr reappears as if nothing happened. She already managed to return after being left chasing crows in the wasteland after the teleport mishap. :3

Maybe Kleiner just de-beaked another headcrab and started calling it Lamarr.

What i hope to see??? Ugh… it was something i always wanted on EVERY hl2 episode and hl2 it was…BRING BACK ICHTHYOSAUR I mean god damn it really I was hoping to see ichthyosaur as well in hl2 and he only came At a very short time and ep1 No ichthyosaur Ep2 no ichthyosaur and besides Half life 2 episode 3 Is the LAST to its games So COME ON There has to be a place to fit him in He can be in the waters and with FULL WORKING AI and animations I mean really…It was something i ALWAYS wanted…Black mesa made me happy for giving him Hl2 Graphics and putting him in He just has to…Be in episode 3 It was my dreams to see him in it > :frowning:

Episode 3 will probably take place a while after ep2. I’m thinking perhaps that the Gman will reveal himself to Alyx, maybe putting her and Gordon into hibernation to spur events a bit more.

I think the Episode three will start excelty where E2 left of maybee just the flying part will be left out sinced it would take a while to fly there.

There’s only one Hedy. :hmph:

It was in HL2, and Black Mesa didn’t give him those “HL2 graphics” HL2 did. You only saw it once in HL2, and it was the teleporter scene.

Sorry for thee spam testing out something.

Thank you, Project Lead from Valve software! What else can you tell us since you know-it-all, know-it-all?

The Ichthyosaur won’t be brought back, but the hydra will.

A: where did you hear this?
B: I wonder what they did to improve it? Valve said its playability was nil in the beta. Nice to watch but boring to fight.

A: The only enemies from HL1 that they’ve brought back were the barnacle, headcrab & zombie. The Ichthyosaur & leeches appear in HL2 but you can’t fight them. When they could have brought back the bullsquid, they instead made the worker antlion. It’s clear they don’t want to retread old ground.
B: I’ve said it once, I can say it a thousand times.

Let’s just not hope so…

Edit: how did you anyway know that the hydra would come back?

The chopper will probably crash so Gordon is plotdeviced of his weapons.

I want the houndeye back at least. I mean, they haven’t replaced it’s functionality with a new creature.

I’m glad to see a lot of stuff from the HL2 beta returning though. My main concern is that they hire some MORE male and female voice actors so not every single fucking citizen/ resistance fighter sound identical.

It’s functionality was hardly different than the zombie. It runs up to you, attacks &/or dies.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing them brought back as allies, but I’d probably just waste my time trying to play fetch with them. :3

Especially if what you’re playing fetch with works like the bugbait. A replacement for that game mechanic with NO MORE FRIGGIN ANTLIONS and with one of my favourite Xen beasties would be awesome.

I always felt slightly bad for killing them, along with most of the Xen animals that are clearly aggressive in reaction to an unfamiliar environment and an alien aggressor:freeman:. Having them as allies, much as the vorts have become, would be cool. Maybe an arctic adapted Houndeye (Huskyeye?)

EDIT: By aggressive I mean: attack as soon as look at you. They’re all carnivores so I suppose hunting instinct probably has something to do with it, especially when their only experience of humanity was a useless scientist running away down a steel corridor. :3

You took my one little joke, and just kept running with it way past the punchline.

I’d like to think I added some of my own :stuck_out_tongue:

Joking aside, though, even if the episodes have set up the rules for what players expect regarding enemies, adding some older or newer creatures or foes would shake up the formula of Zombies and Antlions and Combine, oh my.
