and it wants fans to ‘encourage’ it to make more

Isn’t that screenshot from some E3 tech demo trying to prove that Unreal Engine 3 was still acceptable

yep.

I really hope this is in some way shape or form related to the single player Unreal games. Or even a totally new game with the same atmosphere and awesome world like the first, while being completely different. As much as I love UT, we really don’t need another one.

So what happened to “In other news, PC gamers are grumpy about this,” Cliffy?

Oh, that’s right. PC gaming was almost as big as your ego last year ($18 billion), so now it’s time for a cashgrab.

I am kinda getting tired of Unreal Engine 3. Why can’t they work on an Unreal Engine 4 or use a different engine all together. So many games use Unreal 3 nowadays that it’s the minimum for gaming graphics. Anyone can make some sub-par models, some ok textures, and a bump map that is squeezed together to make a AAA looking game.

The engine is pretty stellar among Indie devs because it’s easy to use and make and game look good.

I’m still waiting for the game that’s a perfect blend of a Twitch-Arcade shooter and a story driven shooter. I’m looking at a Painkiller meets Bioshock kinda thing.

Then again, I’d also like to see a game that does 3rd Person Action on PC right. Make it happen, Epic!

Its gonna be a facebook game or a shitty F2P game.

  1. No one said this didn’t involve UE4.

  2. Epic using a non-unreal engine.

I really hope this means that that demo will actually have been a game pitch the whole time. When I first saw the samaritan demo, I knew that was a universe I wanted to play in.

Break your back sucking your own dick.

You being tired of an engine has nothing to do with it, is it obselete? hardly. There’s no need for UE4 eyt

+1 for a game based on that tech demo

Wow, I actually agree with everything he said.

It’s gotta kind of suck to sit there and watch people like Arkane do exactly what you want to do with your own tech while you make Brown Scripted Cover Shooter 12.

My same policy as always: I will buy it if it is a good game.

There isn’t any need for UE3 either. I vote we go back to UE1. Fuck wait, there isn’t need for that. Well lets sit here and think about what we need for an unnecessary entertainment product. I’m sure we’ll figure something out.

How will you know it’s a good game unless you play it?
How will you play it without buying it?

It’s one big annoying circle!

I won’t play it without buying it. So I won’t buy it unless I can play it before I buy it.

You must not buy very many games.

When I’m looking to buy a new game I don’t know too much about/haven’t played, I turn to the metacritic user reviews. I don’t let people decide where my hard earned money goes, but I do look for certain reviews that say, for example, “If you liked Metro 2033 and other ambient atmospheric shooters, then EpicsNewPCexclusiveIP is for you!” If I can find something like that, it makes me feel more comfortable buying whatever game I’m looking for.

This.

Gore and tits.
