And of course the engineers first name is Dell.
:awesome:
Australium: The most powerful element in the universe.
Hell yeah.
Only found here in Australia :3
A land where everyone has 'staches. Even the women.
What’s Engie?
You are kidding, right?
If not, there are quite a few hints in some of the posts here, not to mention the link in OP.
That was flipping hilarious, and I love how there’s actually some sort of realistic (no matter how ridiculous) foundation being built for this bizarre world that the TF2 universe exists in.
With that, this seems like a good place for me to put my idea of what the Engie updte should consist of:
The engineer solves practical problems, and he solves them with practical solutions. In this case, the most practical solution to his problems is “Mobility”.
Mobile Mover Level 1 - 200 Metal
A flat squarish 4 wheeled robot that can pick things up and put them down. Once built, the engineer can command it to a new location via the alt fire button. If the alt fire button is used on a pre-existing building,(sentry, dispenser, teleporters) then the Mobile Mover will automatically deactivate the building and pick it up, allowing it to be carried to a new location (double tapping the alt fire button on a location or pressing alt fire while aiming at the Mobile Mover will cause it to set down whatever building it is carrying and reactivate it) without needing to destroy it and rebuild from scratch.
The Mobile Mover Level 1 has a speed equivalent to that of the Engineer. While the Mobile Mover is carrying another building it will move at 3/4th speed, and is vulnerable to damage, able to be destroyed by destroying the building it is carrying. The Mobile Mover cannot jump, so reaching locations that do not have ramps to them is impossible, but it can drop down to areas without taking damage or falling over. If the Mobile Mover is destroyed from under the building it is carrying,(whether by enemy attack, or by the engineer himself) the building will drop and automatically reactivate at that location.
Mobile Mover Level 2 - 100 Metal (300 Total)
Upgrading the Mobile Mover increases its unburdened speed to that of a scout (still lacks any jumping ability) and will not automatically be destroyed when the building it is carrying is destroyed. If the Mobile Mover Level 2 has executed all orders and then takes damage, it will attempt to either return to the Engineer for repairs (if the engineer’s general location is reachable) or return back to the nearest team base until further orders are given.
Mobile Mover Level 3 - 200 Metal (500 Total)
The final upgrade to the Mobile Mover adds a domed shield that obscures and protects whatever the Mobile Mover Level 3 is (or isn’t) carrying. This dome can also be used as cover for the Engineer to hide behind. The protection of the Shield comes at the price of lowering the Mobile Mover’s speed back to that of an engineer, but it’s speed will no longer decrease while carrying a building. Any damage that the Mobile Mover takes is automatically shunted to the domed shield, and when it breaks, instead of destroying the Mobile Mover entirely, it will merely revert back to a Mobile Mover Level 2 (along with the speed boost and self preservation mode that level 2 has over level 3)
Ahaaaaa… engie = engineer !
I was confused about that word. Now i get it
haha, you forgot one detail.
All I see is a comic about an engineer, hopefully the update comes soon.
They never update on weekends, so we’ll probably see something Monday.
I like the wall of post-it notes. Anyone notice the nod to TFC?
At the bottom, where the paper says “false alarm mate!” just to the left, click, and you get this;

My detective skillz are unmatchable!!!
…
except i don’t get it ?
Anyone crafted the golden wrench yet? Any ideas how to do it?
If the page is right, only 25 people in the world have discovered the secret. They may be keeping it to themselves (or grinding out something)
OR (just a theory) it comes from doing X crafting experiments (ie, after 500 you get a gold wrench)
Or is it randomly generated if you craft anything?
