as far as I understand an airplane crashing into a building causes more then just a fire. I think the plane itself would damage the metal skeletons critically enough to make it collapse. The fire was just something that appeared along the way,but still did some damage to the building. PLUS,the plane was hitting somewhere in the middle, enlarging the chance of the building collapsing. In other words it’s not that strange a building collapses because of a plane crashing into it.
Plus, due to the temperature of the fire, which was burning far hotter than normal fire due to the jet fuel, the steel girders lost 50% of their strength. They didn’t melt, but they lost integrity.
And the liquid you saw coming out was either metal from the plane, assorted support structures unrelated to the steel supports, various office supplies, or even–gasp–water from a burst pipe! Due to the distance and rough angles many of the pictures were from, it’s sort of difficult to look at them and say without a doubt “That’s steel.”
Now, let’s move to the whole “Why were three planes able to be hijacked?” The simple answer is that security was nowhere near as high as after 9/11, cause what are the chances. Besides, if the government did make up the hijack stories, wouldn’t they have equipped the terrorists with a cooler weapon than a box cutter? The simple fact that they gained control of the plane with such a mundane item proves that it’s not bullshit. If the government really wanted to have the story believable, they would have said the terrorists used Uzis.
EDIT: Also, Delta, not that this excuses your terribly misguided conspiracy theories, but your English is veeerrrryyy good. Seriously. You’re able to carry on a long argument, so good for you! =)
I watched some program the other day about 9/11. It was shown that the FBI where warned about it but the actual warning got to the most important people of the FBI ONE day after the disaster. The amounts of deaths could have been reduced if the goddamn paperworks didn’t come along the way.
Thanks for complimenting on my English. It’s the only foreign language I can actually speak to a usable extent, so I do my best to keep it up to date.
It’s not that I would not love to be convinced and proven wrong on the whole subject of 9/11 being an inside job. Really! I could live my life so much more lighthearted than I do, if I could believe the official story and just get on with it. It’s just that so many people acted totally suspicious that day, and during the following investigation.
People still claim that it was Al Quaida terrorists doing the job, when in fact, the identity of the hijackers has not yet been found out. Some of the persons who were presented to the public as the deceased members of the hijacking crew are still alive and have never had any ties to any terrorist organisation at all. Well, at least that was in the news a few years ago.
The video supposed to be showing Osama bin Laden claiming to be behind the terrorist attacks shows some guy with a turban, but with a broader face and darker skin than Bin Laden.
There are more than enough points to criticize in the investigation report (they did not even attempt to track the money that was used to buy the tickets to its source - something every little village police officer knows to be the most important and easy way to find the man behind the crime) to justify another, more independent and more in-depth investigation of the events. And I also wonder why the actual proofs that were so zealously collected by government services have not yet, even to this day, been shown to the public - if they indeed proove the official story of 9/11, why should they be held back? They could silence conspiracy theorists in an instant.
The only reason I can imagine for holding back evidence is that of the evidence in fact disproving the official story of what happened. Or, for the worse, proving conspiracy theorists to be right.
videotape quality strikes again!
Mm, hey, Delta. I know this is totally off topic, but I’ve always wondered about this:
What does your country say about Hitler. Specifically the history books, tho government, and the elderly (those who lived during his time).
Abour Hitler?
Hmm…
That he was an unsuccessful artist who had fought in the trenches of World War II and was incontinent (couldn’t hold his bladder). He grew attached to the antisemitist movement and strongly believed in the “backstabbing” theory about the capitulation of Germany at the end of WWI, which stated that communist democrats (both being an insult at that time) who had undermined the German Reich and forced the Kaiser to withdraw into exile had betrayed the German troops by surrendering to the nearly overwhelmed enemy.
The treaty of Versailles pained him and many others who had fought for the so-called “glory” of Germany greatly, so he easily gained access to others who shared his vision of a German return to greatness and grandeur.
The theory of the superiority of the Northern Race greatly appealed to him, also, and strengthened his will to lead the German people to dominion over all others.
Privately, he had a sick and perverted weakness for very young, inferior females - the first object of his obsession was his niece, later his secretary Eva Braun.
He had a powerful appearance and a natural talent for speaking in public. Females at that time grew very attracted to him (but that’s the case with all men of power, no matter how ugly they might be).
He was also paranoid and had an inferiority complex. He was a megalomaniac and a poor strategist under pressure. He could instill fear even in the highest ranking generals of the Wehrmacht, when raging against a superior tactic that was not his own idea.
He had no real personal friends, only temporary allies and admirers, whom he would turn his back on as soon as they would start to annoy, oppose or even frighten him.
His ordering of the systematic execution of Jews all over occupied Europe origined from his paranoid belief that Jews were the real enemies of freedom, because they were such talented businessmen. He believed that, if the Jews would not be routed out and extinguished, they would sooner or later assemble all wealth on Earth in their own hands and leave nothing to all the other people - even enslave them for their own purposes.
Most Germans see him for what they are taught to believe - a monster who has nothing in common with a human being. Others, very few who are well advised to keep their mouths shut, see him for what he more likely was: A human being like us, merely driven by fear and the wrong ideas instead of love, compassion and a well sophisticated morale.
Was that sufficient data for you?
EDIT: I forgot the elderly people. The government follows the “monster story”, as do the history books (though some stick to the more differentiated “misguided human” thing). Most elderly people I know personally (my own grandparents, for example) call him a “sick bastard who didn’t deserve to walk this Earth”, and think the same of everyone who still believes in Hitler’s ideology. Others are known to never have abandoned their propaganda-engineered beliefs from the 1940s. But they are usually shunned and looked down upon - some people feel sorry for them and count them as “victims” of the Third Reich as well.
That about covers it, I think.
Hm, interesting. They teach us the same thing here too, but less “he was a monster” and more detached and fact-like.
It sounds like the history books, and especially the government, are trying to separate themselves as much as possible from him by denouncing him.
Which is totally understandable. He was fucking Hitler. =/
I know the phrase “epic win” is thrown around allot, and thus watering down its meaning. But if anyone needs a frame of reference on what defines “epic win”, they should look here.
WE ARE NOT NAZIS! WE’RE JUST REPRESENTED BY RETARDS!
Thank God for you. I can’t even add anything on to that, it’s that perfect. It’s all just one big Hollywood movie.
You best be sarcastic, sir.
Jesus Fucking Christ
You 9/11 Truthers can take it up the ass for all I care. Fuck you.
I’m sorry, my good man, but I have to say I completely agree with him. A few weeks after I saw the South tower collapse, I’ve actually done a lot of thinking. And I came to a conclusion that it couldn’t be real (and I happened to be 16 blocks away from it all, I think). Look at videos of demolitions of abandoned buildings, and you tell me the difference. All these “hijackings”, and from a country which doesn’t even have a sufficient military to do such a thing, AND THE MILITARY DIDN’T EVEN DO IT! It was just a bunch of guys who decided they had enough of this crap, put on these things https://www.taskforcetargets.dk/images/full/target_sp-4a.jpg and successfully hijacked three planes to destroy two buildings, or so they want us to think. The people who did do it have yet to be identified, and with all those explosions and fire, it’d be pretty hard to. Sorry, Winged One, but didn’t you see it yourself? And not from videos too, I mean with your own eyes.
It’s impossible to see 9/11 with our own eyes. It happened 8 years ago. Thus it’s hard to make an accurate comparison.
I agree with the idea that Bush capitalized on 9/11 to invade Iraq for the oil, and everyone who lied to us about WMDs in Iraq should be punished. Other than that, fuck Alex Jones! Do you want some Loose Change? It’s right here UP MY ASS!!!
@ Jack
No.
All I see is total disrespect. I can understand from a foreigner, but from someone else who lives in or around New York? Totally unfathomable that you you say such blasphemous things. I think I’ve lost all respect for you. Congratulations.
Especially someone in the actual city. For fuck’s sake, man. Stop disrespecting the memories of those who died and focus your anger on the actual perpetrators.
EDIT: I agree with John Killer that Bush totally abused the situation to get to war with Iraq and attempt to extend his powers (he clearly declared actual WAR on terror, and a state of war increases the powers of the president ten-fold). But he was an idiot, not a fascist dictator.
Thank God we have Obama now, though.
What is with you and things up asses?
I never said I disrespected the memories of those who died. I felt the same pain everyone felt on that day, and the following days, but since the actual perpetrators haven’t been unveiled, I don’t know who to trust. You can be right for all I know, Winged One, I’m not saying you aren’t, but unless somebody accuses another with good proof to back it up, I’m staying right where I am.
I think he might be trying to say “FUCK YOU” or something of that nature. Could be wrong, though.
EDIT:
:hmph:You mean like the entirety of the US did to the terrorists. Fuck it all, even Osama accepted full responsibility.
For all we know he wanted to do something to this effect but could never find a way to do it. This happens and he takes responsibility for it. It would also have given the US (like some people say here did it) the perfect scapegoat.
Oh, please, not you, too.
Though at least you aren’t one of the people who think Osama has been working for the government ALL THIS TIME.
I feel like strangling them with MY OWN INSTESTINES
