They actually made propoganda films at the start of the war showing them having a blast and playing jazz. The internees in the film were executed upon completion of the movie.

Also, that’s absolutely not what they told the public. They rather told them that Jewish communists were behind the fire that devastated the Reichstag, and therefore, all Jews had to be interned for the sake of safety for the German population.
The fire in the Reichstag, of course, had been started by Nazi thugs, so that Hitler had something to justify his atrocities.
I see some parallels there, that is all. But then - I don’t believe the bullshit story of some oriental fundamentalists hijacking airplanes with cutter knives and tricking the most effective air defense system on Earth, managing to hit three targets in a row, when before and after this event the success quota of NORAD had always been 100% in every single played out scenario - INCLUDING attacks with airplanes on the WTC and the Pentagon.
I also don’t believe that simple fire can bring steel to melt and become fluid (there WAS liquid metal pouring out from a hole in the WTC - I saw it on TV that day, here in Germany. The reporter even commented on that) - which is physically impossible. And I absolutely don’t believe that a scyscraper that tall is not built to withstand a collision with an airplane - or, if hit by one, collapses exactly like in a controlled demolition scenario.
I also don’t believe that the best paid and equipped intelligence services on Earth cannot find a single man. Even if he hides in a cave somewhere. Sorry, but there are much too many suspicious issues with 9/11 and all that it has been used to justify to simply ignore them. But that’s just me, you know - we Germans already had that stuff some time ago. We have been taught in school to be suspicious of official media output, since propaganda once fooled our entire nation into believing we could dominate the world and prevail in a war on multiple fronts. Maybe I am overly suspicious. Or maybe I just don’t like bullshit stories.

The USA doesn’t have a dictatorship. Nor does it have a very good democracy, IMO. It has a plutocracy, where the power is held by with those with money. My own country is going too far in this direction, too. It seems fundamentally wrong to me that elected government officials should also have important positions in business interests and corporations. Businesses would be very quick to cut them loose if they made decisions that benefited the general populace at the expense of the businesses’ bottom line, but it’s much easier to get away with benefiting their business interests at the expense of the populace. Lobby groups owned by elements of big business are another bad symptom. Politicians’ first loyalty should be to their constituents, but with things the way they are in America their first loyalty pretty much has to be to where their money comes from.
On which note I thought it was a positive sign that an unusually large amount of Obama’s campaign fund came from private doners instead of big business. In a plutocracy you have to buy your leader’s loyalty but hopefully the American population will have succeeded in that.
Aye, unfortunately. There was this average Joe who ran against Clinton who didn’t have any government positions or experience at all. The only reason he got a fair amount of votes, I suspect, is because he was an oil tycoon from Texas.

Okay, first, I didn’t say Stalin was good, I just knew of that pic with Hitler. Second, the 500,000 number is way off, it is at most half of that, and even if it was 500,000, that is nothing compared to the millions that would have died if we had directly invaded.
There’s a subtle difference between those six million jews and those 500k+ civilians the allies killed.
The former were systematically searched for, deported and murdered. The latter were the victims of a semi-precision attack meant to deter.

The melting temperature for steel is over 1500° Celsius.
Fire can burn up to 1200° Celsius. If it is fueled well.
Liquid, molten metal was pouring out of Tower 1. I saw it. And I will never forget that picture. At the time I was so shocked I didn’t even realize there was no fucking way such a temperature could be generated by burning airplane fuel.
Arguing about which government killed more victims for the more sinister purposes is the same bullshit as always - the old “we are better than you because blablabla” debate. I find that stupid. Even the more for people wo were never personally involved in such atrocities.

Metal =/= steel. And just because you think it, doesn’t make it true. How many times have you seen a plane crash into a building to compare with? Which also applies to your earlier point about how the buildings fell down. How the hell do you know that a building hit by planes wouldn’t fall down in a similar way to a demolition?
I would consider a conspiracy theory but every time something big happens some retarded group of people comes up with a conspiracy so I don’t really believe in any of that.
But yeah, I do find it weird the metal skeletons of the towers collapsed because of fire (correct me if I’m wrong I know shit about that stuff)
A building that is only damaged on - let’s say, 20% of its structure cannot fall down as quickly as one that has all its weight supporting parts blown to pieces in an instant.
The towers came down in less than 10 seconds each. Roughly the same time that a tennis ball would take to fall from the roof of one of the towers. The metal skeletons of the buildings should at least have withstood the damage, but they collapsed as if nothing was supporting them anymore. And there is only one way that could happen - because nothing WAS supporting them anymore. Because they had been burned with thermite and blown apart at their key points.
Which leads to the question - why was the building prepared to be blasted? By whom and for what purpose? And how? And why was a very high insurance dealt for it in advance? And many other questions that were already asked by others who have more in depth knowledge of the events than me.
A controlled demolition is very hard to plan, requiring precise explosive placement, careful observation of the plans of the building, etc. Even if they had some how managed to place explosives at the precise demolition points with no one noticing, the whole giant plane crashing into the building would screw any plans for a nice clean demolition by changing the structure of the building.
EDIT: The melted metal is aluminum from the plane, which has a melting point far below the temperatures in the building.
