Also I think Activision has stepped up to the plate recently and has usurped the crown of most evil producer. Compared to their history around 2000-2005, EA have picked up their game somewhat. Activision thinks that people can afford a new guitar hero every year.
Good thing Blizzard have enough of a controlling stake in the company to keep Activision from breathing down their necks.

Well as a avid Command & Conquer fan since the original dos version of the game, I think the real reason EA are idiots is that the three staples of the Command and Conquer series are:
As long as a game has at least 2 of these its a good C&C game and as long as it ticks one of these boxes its still can be considered a C&C game. C&C 4 on the other hand ticks NONE of these.

C&C Tiberium Sun: Fire-storm Expansion (the main games story line had you playing AS a character)
