EA is evil

Hmm. I shall look in a minute,

EA are good, very good “EA proudly presents: C&C Red Alert 2, 3”; how about NFS series? how can you say that EA are evil?

Why is a Mac/XBox 360 user on a forum for a PC only modification anyway? Unless you also have a PC, which raises the question: Why the hell do you have both a Mac AND a PC?

I’m totally getting either an Alienware laptop (overpriced, I’ll be used to the OS, and it will be able to play games), or an iMac (overpriced, stupid “be-different-for-the-sake-of-being-different-OS” (They pretty much grew in the beginning on stupid peoples’ desire to break the norm for no other reason that being able to break the norm), and it will be able to play… like three games. Until later this year, when it’s catalog will go up, but still be only a fraction of the games I could play on a PC).

That started out as an honest-to-god I didn’t know which one I wanted comparison, but my mind took hold and now I think I know. Thank you black mesa forums.

You will also see alot of Valve videos on yotube with " this video contains content of EA". Seriously, like WTF they didn’t do ANYTHING with that game but publishing. How the fuck does that equal to developing.

I have a PC, but the mac is my brother’s, but I am looking to get one next year.

Which raises the question: Why the hell do you want a Mac when you have something that does the same thing but better?
At least with consoles, each one offers a different gaming experience. What major advantages does a Mac have over a PC?

I just like the OS, and the fact that the hardware is stable and they last, my old pc broke after 3 years, my brother’s make still works after 8 years (although he has a new one now)

It’s an OS. It’s not worth switching from PC and almost $1000 for. And WindowsXP works fine.

My old XP computer broke after 6 years, my bro’s mac worksfter 8

Wow, a two year difference. Fucking stunning.

I have this version of the Orange Box :stuck_out_tongue: It’s the hungarian version, that’s why I linked it.

Maybe because of the cartooney grahpics and sofcore porn made of 11 year old children which where supposed to be called “cutscenes”?

It doesn’t, but people who frequent youtube only are idiots, I’ve found. Just look at the comments on any BM alpha/beta video.

I’ve found that alot of people who want BM also play MW2. There you go. Not all people are like that.

They publish some decent games developed by other companies, I suppose. I do agree with the OPs argument about CnC specifically - EA destroyed the series. I’ll admit Generals was great, but it shouldn’t have been called CnC, as it was a totally different game. After that, it all went downhill.

While I agree that EA are getting better, I still despise them. It might be true that they published some decent games, but that’s only because the developers managed it. Big developers like that tend to stifle creativity, and push sequels. At least, that’s what I gather from all the sequels and mediocre, short games that are being pumped out from devs under EA. Bad company 2, sims expansions, or any game other game that sold well…

I tend to feel poorly about big game publishers in general. When a big company that isn’t familiar with (and isn’t interested in) the inner workings of a developer takes charge, the quality of games sometimes takes a blow. Look at post-Bushnell Atari.

I think that EA, Activision, and the game industry itsself is getting a bit too bloated for its own good. Playable games do come out, which aren’t terrible, but in reality, are nothing great or innovative (MW2, go on, flame me). So, the industry won’t crash or anything, but the giant risk that is making high-end games will make for franchise-milking, deadlines, and a loss of originality…

Also, Westwood was fucking awesome!!

I think OP has a good point related to red alert. Let’s be serious: on what do you see a RTC game be played better on? a PC or a fucking tv console(xbox or ps3). EA diserves to die in a fire or swallow over 9000 pingases!

Man, gaming sucks since it became popular. I know people that are like the popular teenagers that call themselves gamers but they in fact play only 3 games that I know of: WoW, RuneScape and MW2. The rest they despise.

Don’t know WoW and RS, they are actually quite good (well, they would be if you didn’t have to constantly pay)
