E3 2014 - June 10/12 - Lets talk about it before it gets delayed to 2015

awesome

still we all knew it was gonna come out for PC eventually

Yes, but now the little part of our minds rocking back and forth saying it’ll never happen can rest. Or at least switch to “it’ll be badly optimized.”

They would have been stupid if they didn’t plan to cash-grab the PC audience. Porting the game won’t cost that much and it will surely make more. Even if it sells “only” 500k copies or so, it will have been a huge success.

To be fair, even though back in 2007 most of us with Athlon x2 and a DirectX 9.0 GPU’s thought it was badly optimized, GTA 4 actually scales up really well to current-gen hardware for a game released so long ago. Basically, even if GTA V is too sluggish to run at max graphics on “gaming” PC’s, it’s not the port’s fault, our PC’s are just too weak and old and we have to upgrade just like when GTA IV first came out.

It’s definitely not gonna be like Watch underscore Dogs which stutters and shows variable time sync on sli’d GTX titans and haswell extreme core i7’s…

It’s not a port, Dotard. The PC version has been in development since mid 2012 if you can trust the leaked bug logs that you can dump off the PS3 version’s disc.

Also GTAIV is a bad port, sersoft. You might be able to get it running satisfactorily, but compared to other open world games (like Sleeping Dogs, which looks better) it runs poorly.

I was in bed during Sonys conference. Was there anything from valve?

Nope. Only thing remotely Valve related at E3 so far was Alienware showing off their version of the Steambox.

They basically didn’t change the multi-thread code in GTA4, so it maxes out at 3 cores, which is what the 360 cpu has. It runs better the faster your CPU is but a more powerful GPU makes less of a difference than in other games since it’s a CPU heavy game.

Since then they have practically overhauled the entire engine, which is why GTA5 looks insane on consoles and runs better than GTA4.

Even tho some may consider Nintendo to be for kiddies, girls and casual gamers, I must say that some of the stuff they do is impressive and creative.

I quite honestly like Nintendo way more than MS and Sony. Gameplay on the Wii and Wii U is so refreshing from the standard games I usually play on PC.

Nintendo doesn’t need a change of style but they need a more progressive management that is always up to date on what’s new in the tech world and isn’t afraid of adopting new things in gaming as long as they benefit the games and gamers.

LIKE A FUCKING UNIFIED ACCOUNT SYSTEM.

I also like about them that despite being adults, they are not afraid to show off their inner child  They are as passionate as it gets.

whatever we may all say about nintendo these days, they will probally be the last console race that survives as they are the only ones who continue to provide unique experiences that cannot be seen on pc (and the other 2 consoles that try so hard to be like it)

In all truthfulness I thought Nintendo had the best “conference” this year. They had didn’t take themselves seriously and I thought that was pretty refreshing. They also had a great showing in games, even after the digital event was over.

-Zelda Wii U
-Hyrule Warriors
-Bayonetta 2
-Devil’s Third
-Xenoblade Chronicles
-Yoshi’s Woolly World
-Super Smash Bros.
-Splatoon
-Freakin’ Star Fox

They all look ace in my opinion.

One simply may not omit Pokemon.

Much apologies. I knew I"d forget a game or two. :frowning:

Don’t you mean Xenoblade Chronicles X?

damn they finally make star fox but no f-ezro :’(

Seriously! Where the hell is a next-gen F-Zero? If they made a new game that worked like GX, but included updated graphics and a track editor, I would buy a WiiU just for that.

Is e3 over by now? If yes, then that means no Resident Evil 7 I guess, what a disappointment. Just some more dlc…
