Duke Nukem Forever

Duke Nukem 3d was made back in the day when storyless, mediocre shooters were incredible, and it was incredible…in its time and place.

Nowadays the character is nothing but a stuck up misogynistic prick with some pathetic one liners and the story is as pathetic as Doom’s story. Saying Duke Nukem Forever will be good by today’s standards because Duke Nukem 3d was amazing in its time is like saying Doom 3 was good by today’s standards because the original Dooms were good in their time. In the end Doom 3 was a mediocre game with a bad storyline and Duke Nukem Forever will (if it ever gets released) almost undoubtedly follow suit. Get over your nostalgia and move the fuck on.

Mate I mean what I say because I said it, mate. Don’t question it.

I agree 100%

Best post fix ever.

You catch on quick. And by quick I mean slow.

Hey look, a dumbass who has to ‘fix’ a post because he can’t debate it. Good job!

He was simply correcting your horribly flawed post.

Yeah, I can tell. Because there was a lot of rationality in completely turning around the meaning without an explanation. I suppose it was my mistake, I was under the assumption that somebody might reply back with a semblance of intelligence or thought that would help me understand why so many people continue to support a dead game made by terrible developers that would having nothing to offer in today’s age of games. Obviously, I was mistaken.

Lol, intelligence.

Lol, maturity.

Oh… Wait.

We don’t need to explain anything to either of you. The fact is, Duke Nukem 3D was/is awesome and we’ll follow this franchise to hell and i[/i] back!

They wouldn’t be remaking the same story lacking game. They would obviously make an at least half decent storyline in a new game. Although I haven’t played any Duke Nukem games that one is a no brainier. How many games do you see today that recycle the same exact story line or game play as the last game. Aside from the pointless argument of if Duke Nukem is a good game or not (which no one will win because fans will be fans and haters will be haters), does anyone know a good place to start playing Duke Nukem? Should I start with 3D or like which is the one people like most or has the awesome phrase’s such as kickin’ ass and chew bubble gum?

Amen to that! Stop trying to explain why these shooters suck. They were made in the 1990s. Comparing them to games now is like comparing a shotgun to a sniper rifle. Both have their strong points. Both have their weak points. Both simply work.

Duke Nukem may suck in your eyes, but this series has been through a lot of criticism and I think Duke Nukem Forever will be an awesome addition to the series. Now stop trolling and stop complaining.

I was originally going to quote you as “complain complain complain bitch bitch bitch” but I wouldn’t want to put words in your mouth, so I took the liberty to take some out instead.

As for debating on the internet, I’ll pass. An argument between two advocates who are shrouded in the anonymity of the web can rarely invalidate any fallacies. Even with the best of contentions people will still advocate their respective beliefs in the presence of overwhelming affirmations. This is the nature of the beast, and until we lower our shield of anonymity our motives will remain delitescent, and our arguments will remain barbaric.

So you will have to excuse my antics. My goals were to not belittle you but instead to pander to the rest of us. I hope you will understand.

:retard:

All this talk of vaporware and bad time management is reminding me of a certain mod.

TheKeeper, you know the calm before the storm? Enjoy it while you can.

Ah, I love watching people defend games that don’t yet exist. Its actually quite funny.

I dunno. The “fix” post seemed like a funny joke to me.

Gotta agree on your point though. While I think that Duke could make a comeback, he has to have a bit of a makeover. It’s like Batman. If the Adam West Batman, complete with comic book “POW” and “KER-PING!” video effects whenever Batman punched someone came back today, it would be laughed at. For the time, however, it caused a following. Now, we have Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, two awesome Batman movies that have minimal ties to the Adam West days, yet are still Batman, and still awesome.
