Um yeah. They’re not. 3D realms is dead. Duke forever is finally dead. 3D realms are being sued by take two for not delivering DNF. It’s over.

I don’t get why it would take so long to make a freakin’ game. It seems they could do it faster if they just started from scratch.

Yep. Read the article Dillxn. Every time a new engine or whatever came along, he (Broussard) decided to start again, with that engine. They were literally working on it for 12 years, starting again every now and then. He had that “grass is greener on the other side” mentality, putting him in an infinite loop. He’d start on a new engine, then a better one would come along, and he’d switch to it. He didn’t seem to realise that will always happen. Plus his team was too small, there was no way they’d ever put out the game before a better engine came along.
It’s unfortunate too, if they had only made it this far. PC game graphics are at a kind of stand still at this point and have been for a few years. They may have actually released it this time.

The Gearbox logo flashes at the beginning of the screen, and they were going to work on a canceled Duke Nukem project.

I don’t give a fuck if the game looks “out dated” when/if it’s actually released. The game looks awesome and I want it released!
Did anyone notice the Red B XBox 360 button when Duke walks on top of a weapon?

Hope? Duke Nukem is a horrible franchise, and apart from the nostalgia a lot of people seem to have for it, it offered nothing.
It wasn’t even a funny game, I seriously don’t get how people could “lol” with Duke Nukkem.
Just let this franchise die.

I just played Duke Nukem 3D. It kinda sorta sucks.
The controls were the biggest issue. Why can’t you look up without holding down a key?

People liked it because it was a fantastic game at the time. It was simple compared to todays standards, but when it was made, it was a great game. People care about it because the loved the first game and they want this game to bring back the love that they had for the first game.
It’s kind of like if Half Life had a sequel that just kept getting delayed.
