Duke nukem forever to be finished by gearbox

According to an article on Kotaku, Gearbox software is going to finish this sequel. With a source even indicating that a demo might even come out this year. What does everyone think, could Dnf’s development time finally be up?

Dear god I hope so. I’m not a huge fan of Gearbox, though.

Gearbox seems fit for the job. After all they did make opposing force.

:hmph:

Gearbox is cool. They adapted Halo for PC among other things that don’t quite suck.

Eh hitler is cool. Built cool camps and other things that dont suck.

I saw this thread and thought; “oh god, another newfag found the ‘create new thread button’”, but after reading the article I thought
“It’s about fucking time someone took DNF and finished it”
and the fact that GEARBOX is finishing it, probably means it WILL be on steam.
Fuck yeah!

yess its going to come out ii fucking told you bastard.s haha

Interesting, I don’t like Duke Nukem but I’ll play it just to see what 13 years of development can do.

And here we go again…

Its time to kick ass and chew bubblegum!

I’m in!

…If only to try to earn back some small portion of the money that’s been spent making it.

Pity it was the shittiest port i have ever played.

Gearbox : “Hurr Durr, no AA coz its incumpatibull”.

I’ve played Doom with AA, there is no excuse.

Doom looks like the blurriest shit ever with AA.

So? It only looks bad because the textures are low-res. The point is if amateurs can get AA into a game from 1993, which didn’t even originally run on a 3D engine, then surely professionals should be able to get AA going on a game from 2001.

It’s a new company handling the material so it is a new sequel. This isn’t going ot be the game that spent 13+ years in development. It will be the game that spent one or two years in development.

If it looks like fun I will play it (and if I get a new system that can handle the requirements, I need a new computer).

Randy Pitchford: “Damn, I’m Good!”

Good. 3D realms shouldn’t be allowed to touch this game ever again. Or any DN game for that matter.

Well… there goes my dream of finishing DNF when I get into the gaming industry!! Well, there is still 3DO cool shit to do… anyways… Gearbox… I have no idea what to expect…
