dr breen

I did like that idea but he did get exploded at the end of HL2. Still I’d like to see that SOB again!

He did’nt get blown up, he fell of the citadel and was crushed by his biggest fan.
…Who then died of turning off cheats.

Why the fuck would an Advisor, who seem to be the brains behind the combine, be willing to give up their body for Breen? I’ve never got why people make that assumption. I always assumed the ‘host body’ would be some mindless drone or vort slave or stalker-type thing.

Maybe they have a couple free bodies lying around in the corner somewhere. Who knows, maybe they have a factory dedicated to making Advisor bodies so the rulers of various Combine ruled planets can help lead the Combine Empire.

When I played through HL2 it never appeared to me that Breen was ever keen on using a so called “host body”.

Of course he isn’t. Advisors have no penises, duh! He could never fap again! What would YOU say to such kind of a deal, huh?

Gunman is the gman - duh G(un) man.

Pretty sure Breen is in an advisor body. I would imagine Advisors are grown like grubs untill the combine decide upon suitable occupants.

But Breen is in fact dead. If he wasn’t there would be some kind of notation of him.

Plus, his teleportation bulb descended down into the bowels of the collapsing Citadel, away from the dimensional portal.

right. Even if he somehow survived the fall, he would never escape to the explosion that happened moments after it.
Gordon and Alyx were both saved by the G-Man and “kidnapped” by the vorts.
Advisors are powerful, but G-Man is more, much more than them.

Err… I think you have that backwards… Alyx and Gordon were saved by the vorts. The GMan was just going to take Gordon away for another job and leave Alyx to her fate (presumably)

valve has a penchant for making changes after the fact. Thats why I think there might be a gordon vs. Breen/advisor battle in ep3

Dr. Breen is dead. End of story.

^ ^ ^

Breen is dead and he is dancing in hell now.
Alyx is important. I don’t think the G-Man were going to lose all his effort allowing Eli escape with her from Black Mesa just to let she die at the citadel. In Ep. 2, G-Man told Freeman that he acted against the recomendations of other like him when he removed Alyx from Black Mesa.

Nobody saved alyx after HL2. She was caught in the explosion when G-man grabbed gordon. After valve did some customer surveys, alyx and gordon were saved at the beginning of ep1. G-man saving alyx from black mesa only came in ep2. Valve makes changes to the story after the fact depending on player input. Folks liked alyx so much, she features in the whole of ep1, after she was blown up in the reactor explosion at the end of hl2. So we very well may see breen in an advisor body or in a whole new one in ep3, or not. Valve makes video games, not movies or novels and that gives them a little “freedom” with the story. So we will see when ep3 comes out sometime in late 2011
What he said /

Episode 3 should have a part where Gordon is cruising out of White Forest in the Jalopy, and Breen pulls up in an old Nash Rambler and insinuates that a race to Borealis is in order.

Except Dr. Breen will be a zombie because HE IS DEAD. :rage:

So you’re saying he was head-crabbed? Fast, slow or poison? :stuck_out_tongue:

He would then dash over to a hot air balloon and declare that they have 80 days to reach it.

I’m going to ring your neck. :mean:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
