Should we pass laws based upon what we personally and individually find “disgusting”? If so, can I pass laws against you for your disgusting habit of being unduly focused on the sex lives of others?

As a transwoman, I can’t serve at all due to DADT. Which is not really a big deal for me since I do NOT find the military life one for me, but I imagine it does affect lots of people in similar situations.
I support repealing it completely to allow everyone that wants to serve the opportunity.
I’m curious though since I’ve only been very active on these forums recently. Am I the only person around that has any kind of ‘alternative’ sexual identity?
