I don’t remember any of this.
Well, at least you managed to forget it. :retard:
Well excuse me for not wanting to play through 8-12 hours of a game I don’t like before judging it as such. Especially if it’s like Fallout 3, which could go on for who knows how long. Don’t get me started on MMOs
Relied on the autosaves, which were not nearly as far apart considering how linear the game is in comparison. Coupled with my compulsion to get everything & kill everyone, being set back to the beginning of the map in Deus Ex is far, far more annoying.
cool saving discussion thread
where could i find some less actiony-rooty-tooty-shooty gameplay videos? i know stealth sucks in every game, but I always want to play stealthily. it’s a big selling point for me!
All the gameplay videos out there are essentially the same. Always same level, always same gameplay style.
fuck
well i’ll still probably buy it just for the setting
I wonder if you still can beat the game without killing anyone, like in the first game.
You can. Devs mentioned it in a interview video… though I think they said there were some boss fights where you have to kill the guy, but other than that you can essentially make it through the game with out having to kill anyone else.
I found out about that a day too late. I was saddened and dismayed, cause I really wanted to try this game.
Anyways, what’s the point of going through a game without killing anyone (unless of course, if the game doesn’t allow you to kill anything)? I probably could’ve avoided all confrontations with those possessed dogs in Penumbra, but I couldn’t bear to let one get away alive.
Just to have multiple ways to accomplish things. For variety.
That’s the genius behind Deus Ex. You can beat it without killing anyone because you can. It’s all about choice.
I really hope Deus Ex HR keeps that same spirit of free will.
I’m sure it will…
I hope it will…
I’m still in the city & haven’t touched the game in a number of days. I think I got bored of it at about the same place I did the last time too. Pic unrelated:
I’m planning on building up my Microsoft Points via the Bing Rewards Preview Program, to get it for free from Games for Windows Live. That is, of course, if MS Points are applicable for Windows Live. I’m hoping so, because any cash I have is going to the bills.
Is it just me, or does JC look a bit like Neo?
Yeah, I can see it.
I was at the part where you meet Juan Lebedev, then Anna Navarre shows up & tells me to kill him. I decide not to & walk away, so she does it herself. I reload because I hate that bitch & treat her to a little puffs of flamethrower to the face until she’s in chunks.
Then when I go to work the satellite, I barricade the stairs with explosive barrels hoping to trap the unatco agents when they predictably turned on me. Throwing explosive boxes off of the roof at them would have been more fun if they didn’t have the ability to teleport.
After that was cleared up I meet up with paul & tried to flamethrower, shotgun & gas grenade my way out of the place but eventually paul just disappeared. I took the subway after downing some 40s, came out & met up with Gunther, (while perfectly sober) gave him the last little puff of flamethrower & ran back down the stairs hoping to trap him. I figured he wasn’t going to follow so I decided to take the train back & find paul. I emerged drunk at a helipad on top of the building with no train or paul in sight. What do I do now?
You were supposed to get captured by Gunther at the train station. It’s a sore spot with most people that you can’t win that fight (or stay with UNATCO). Just die anywhere you want. It will have mostly the same effect.
Right after that part is where the game REALLY starts to kick in. At least to me.
I thought it started to kick-in when Paul revealed he was working with the NSF, despite being somewhat predictable.
Aww, I wanted to kill him. And I’ve got so much sweet stuff in my inventory too.
You keep most of your stuff.
Yes, yes I do.
If I die the instant I bring up my inventory screen, then drop all my shit as soon as possible. And I’m did it again, this time without wasting so much shit in mindless futile combat.
