Deus Ex

You’re not supposed to keep it then, you’re supposed to raid the armory. O_o

I found that out after the fact. Sadly, my items did not duplicate, but it was fun running around with ~14 multitools & loads of other junk in areas I wasn’t supposed to. I consider it a trade-off after being gyped by that unwinnable Gunther encounter.

You get it back anyway, and there’s not much between you and the armory, so it really doesn’t matter.

I finished my most recent playthrough of DE last night. It got my appetite going for these types of games so I put in DE2, but almost instantly got bored. Oh well, onto Bloodlines.

I may be wrong, but I’m fairly sure the armory gives you access to every weapon and mod that was available before you had your equipment taken. And when you pick up the lockpick/multitook pickups, you’ll pick up however many you had beforehand.

You lose most of your LAMs. You only get one back even if you had an entire stack.

It’s actually best to surrender to Gunther instead of fighting him, as you don’t lose any health if you do. But there is a medbot in one of the cells, so that doesn’t really matter either.

I got back all my LAMs, at least on my last run. Maybe its just glitched.

If Dias had continued playing, he should be at/past JAY SEE DENTUN IN DA FRESH

Greatest voice acting ever. That and “A bomb.”

All the “Chinese” accents are hilarious.

That entire section was just voice acting gold, I agree.

I hate that annoying little asian boy, so when no one could see me or him, I killed him. Everybody seemed to know anyway. :frowning:

You cruel bastard.

Has the game gotten any better for you?

It’s gotten worse since I got captured by Gunther. I’m hating hong kong right now on account of how dark, big & empty it is. And to top it all off I was in Maggie Chung’s room, standing near a Buddha statue at the bottom of the stairs & a heard a cough, which the close-captions say “MJ12-Agent: Cough.” As if that weren’t bad enough, a minute later I heard one say “I think I heard someone” with an arm sticking through a wall with an assault rifle. I somehow tipped them off by pushing a couch around, which caused them to burst into the room & kill me.

Hong Kong isn’t the best part. i always felt it was too light on the action and too heavy on the exploring. Exploring just isn’t as fun in Deus Ex if it has no real point, i.e. finishing an objective.

I was trying to pick a lock in a mj12 lobby, no one could see me or anything & suddenly everybody & their grandma knows where I am. I reloaded because the locker was full of crap. I walk into the middle of a room & blow-up 1 of 3 guards with the gep gun, but the other 2 stand there chatting it up like nothing just happened.

Edit: I got up to the mausoleum (the first one) & I couldn’t find the number you need to open the passage to get to the signal-jamming-thing (seriously, where the fuck is that number?) & I kept bumping into an invisible thing, so I hit it & it exploded. I reloaded & this time I just threw a lam in there & ran outside. This caused MJ-12 soldiers to appear out of thin air. Bull. Fucking. Shit.

Good news. I built enough points from the Bing Preview Rewards program to “purchase” the game from ‘Games for Windows.’ I’m gonna load up the mod that improves the texture fidelity, and boot it up.

So is Deus Ex another excuse to wield a crowbar?

More than that, but that features.

So is human revolution going to be entirely black and gold?

I just started mine again and I still hate hong kong. Just saying. I pissed off the police for fun.
