Just completed the game. Fucking amazing game! I must say that the boss battles was quite hard thou. The rest of the game was pretty easy, but still amazingly fun. Loved the storyline and the sneaking. I would personally give it 10/10
2 thinks I can say about it:
-It’s the best game I’ve played in 2011 so far.
-Lemon Lime.
I’ve been procrastinating on this game for a while but today I’ve finally beat it.
If you ignore the shitty boss battles, this is one of the strongest candidates for GotY 2011.
Unless Eidos-Montreal is planning on doing a sequel that directly bridges the plot of HR with that of DX1’s, I don’t much see the point of choosing between different endings since they won’t influence the plot of the first one anyway.
There’s going to be new DLC incoming for HR that I think is going to fit in between Hengsha 2 and Singapore. “The Missing Link,” eh? Sounds like Sequences 12 and 13 with regards to Assassin’s Creed 2’s plot.
That kind of DLC is just dumb.
Content that was obviously ripped from the game and repackaged as DLC in order to squeeze more money out of the consumers is dumb. People are still going to buy it though.
Nope, its not. See, cut content isn’t cut so they can make DLC, its cut because they ran out of developing time. DLC gives us the opportunity to play it while the company still makes money.
Remember, game companies owe you nothing but a game. Don’t act entitled.
If they release the two cut hubs I’ll buy that in a second.
Actually, they don’t owe you jack-shit. :meh:
When you pay for the game? They owe you a game.
I don’t feel entitled to anything, I’m just annoyed with the fact that companies are deliberately cutting hours of game play out of the game and then making you pay for it later. This is something that was obviously in the works while they were making the game originally, and they decided to be greedy assholes and make us pay more for it. So its not really the DLC I’m annoyed with, its the company behind it.
They have to make money. That means they can only spend so much time working on a game without risking large amounts of money. They have to stop sometime, and content will be cut. Thats just how it works.
You know how big publishing companies like EA push out a lot of games on schedule that require patching later, and then DLCs come out that are exactly the way you describe? You know how Valve constantly delay their games, but then deliver a complete and polished product? Don’t knock the game designers; they aren’t cutting hours of gameplay intentionally. It’s the publishers you should be pissed at.
If you have the PC, there is a Debug Menu mod for a specific patch of the game that lets you do this!
In fact, I’m going to do it now.
Agreed. Lets all go fire bomb EA and Activision for being money grubbing assholes.
so, does anyone know if there will be any more DLC for Deus Ex?
Missing Link was actually quite enjoyable, I want some more.
Oh boy, can I?
No word on any new DLC yet, but I also thought Missing Link was pretty great. I’d definitely be down for more.
