Deus Ex Human Revolution teaser trailer (it's awesome)

Why has no-one posted this yet:

Meh… sortof, but not directly from them.
I really hope this game is great. I can’t wait for some gameplay vids of this to start popping up.

Damn, beat me to it. It’s true, though, had I not reinstalled it a few weeks ago, this would certainly be the case with me.
“Now everyone will see why I need a skull-gun.”

You forgot to spell it almost completely wrong, Psyborg.

I don’t remember which ones he does spell wrong, but I know he spells “skull” as “skul”.

well be sld at flee markets, old gray golems for scareing the children

I see. Well, while you have a point, I will have to disagree with the sld part.

Hmmm not played any of them ether… tried to play it after HL - aint happening… personally I was bored senseless in the first 10 minutes… gave up and waited for Blue Shift/opposing.

Trialer does look good thou.

I like when people give up after ten minutes. I hated FFVII after ten SECONDS but by god I kept at that thing for hours to make sure. THESE KIDS

To be honest, the first few times I tried I got bored after the statue at the beginning and stopped playing. I had to force myself to keep playing, and I’m glad I did.

I was frustrated more than bored. I’m glad I figured out what I was doing though, because I consider it my favorite game ever.

These Kids? I’m 40! and have muddled my way through many tedious games… from Manic Miner to Empire Earth… just didnt find DE was up to much… think I still have it somewhere… but I doubt it will play on my Win7 game rig… from memory I tried it before and it play crazily fast.

I dont know why everyone is so worried about “living up to the first game”… The official site forum states that you will have a semi-open world to play in, it will have RPG elements and everything. A developper stated in an interview right after the release of this trailer that the game has deep conversations, not because the first one had that too, but because it just needs it. Leaked gameplay shot look awesome! And this trailer just made me go from “wait till I see what the reviews say” to “when is it physically possible to get the game!!!”. And if they have more of these style prerendered cgi cutscenes in the game, i’m betting that the storytelling will rock!!! (just because of those CGI cutscenes yeah! :stuck_out_tongue: )

DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION GAME SUMMARY:
A huge cyberpunk story with conspiracies.
Non-linear, multi-path, multi-solution gameplay.
Different ways to solve any objective depending on your play style (social, hacking, stealth or action).
Character and weapon customisation.
Action/RPG just like the first game.
Choices and consequences.
A semi-open world approach to levels and missions.
Different characters to meet and interact with.
An inventory system similar to DX1.
It’s not a sandbox. It’s not totally linear. It’s like the best of both of those approaches.
Random explorable elements with earned experience points.
Global travel.

I know, I’m pulling a lil out of context on this, but technically, DX:IW had these as well to different degrees, yet it wasn’t as successful. It’s not just what it has on paper, but how it is implemented and balanced. (And some of the above things were poorly made even in the original game).

That apart, this game will still probably be decent enough.

All we’re saying is that this game has a lot to live up to.

Any idea who the guy in the trailer supposed to be?

The main character in the story that you will play?

Hahaha! duh herp derp hurr durr

Go and post that on the DX3 forums and see what kind of response you get. Some guys there are crazy nutjob purists who are offended by the very essence of DX3. They’ve been whining about regen health ever since it was announced like 2 years back.

Adam Jensen duh.

Whaaaaaaa?!?!?!!! :fffuuu: :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds just like the No Mutants Allowed forums.

“FPS FALLOUT?! THE SHEER THOUGHT OF THAT OFFENDS ME!”
