Man that sounds exactly like The Force Unleashed. I got it for PC because Steam was having a sale and I liked the game, but it was nearly unplayable on a keyboard and mouse. Even navigating the menu was strange and frustrating because there wasn’t even a mouse pointer in the menu (that’s how completely ripped from Xbox it was). I lucked out cause I happened to have an xbox and the PC adapter already. It was buttery smooth after switching to the controller.
But, uh, yeah, so my point is, if Dead Space PC is anything like that, and you don’t wanna play with a controller, then it’ll be really, really annoying.
wait, im not sure about console weapon/item selection but on PC you can press number keys for different weapons, and hot-keys for med-kit and other things. so if you are talking about this game on X-box or something just disregard what i said as psychotic ramblings.
i would completely recommend dead space, it was actually one of the best games i have ever played. i only play games on PC, so the aiming style and hud system never bothered me.
This is the only game that ever actually SCARED me. i played it full volume at night with lights off and almost shit myself, and that was on normal difficulty. I also always thought the game was just really robust.
The whole game had that feeling of solidness and everything just looked good, alt-tabbing doesn’t break it or anything and it all loaded very fast.
Definitely get this game, it is so totally worth it. i loved it, and im still playing it today.
also, I’ve been crying about dead space 2 not being for PC, unless that has been changed… I’m always late to the internet party…
Fix’d.
Bioshock 1+2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum are great games, but I suspect you have already played those 3?
Other than that, try the Prince of Persia games or wait for Red Dead Redemption.
IMO plays better on xbox 360 or compatible controller, make sure you got a nice tv, pitch black room, and decent surround sound so you shit yourself. one of my favourite games! :fffuuu:
Stalker 1 is ok, the reactor parts of the game are scary as hell.
FEAR impressed me, but it never really scared me
edit: Resident Evil 2, scary scary SCARY!
whenever I think of the song from the police station main hall… it’s a great game
but I don’t want to play it again because it still gives me weird feelings
Deadspace is fun and definitely worth your time. But if you want a little more action instead of nothing but horror, try F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin. It’s got some intense fighting and some prettyscary moments too. And a really cool slo-mo mode. And I think it has a multiplayer.
I didn’t say they were bad, I just don’t feeling like getting them.
Played F.E.A.R. Haven’t heard of the other two.
Played that, quite a fun game in its day. Traded it in for Call of Pripyat though. :3
I said no fantasy. Running around cutting up monsters and solving occasional puzzles doesn’t appeal to me. I haven’t really looked into RDR yet, any opinions?
Played both. Scared in the NPP levels? Jeez, they were creepy but never truly scary. Lab X18 with the poltergeists and pseudogiant? Oh man, I hate going there!
