Yes, but I was hoping we could liven the dull multiplayer with custom maps. Unfortunately we can’t.
Sure it was easy, but ffs how boring and poor was it compared to other levels…
Vehicle sections suck, period, first person shooters are for on-foot ass whooping, nothing else.
Vehicle sections allow you to be even more awesome than usual with cooler weapons. And you can run people over.
And vehicle sections in Crysis 2 are lacking. I can’t seem to figure out a way to drive a vehicle and shoot the mounted turret at the same time as was possible in Crysis 1… any ideas?
Agreed. QFT.
There shouldn’t be any but one between levels Prism and Park. This one was cool in my opinion.
EDIT: typo
Kinda makes me want a Crysis 2 multiplayer mod that’s actually a replacement for regular multiplayer. Big vehicle based maps, weapon customization in combat, ZERO FUCKING KILLSTREAKS, all that good shit.
Sounds like you’ve only played Half life 2 and Crysis.
Sounds rather like preferance…
It’s hard to win over someone with vehicles in shooters when only 2 or 3 out of MANY have gotten them right.
They’re different games, don’t compare them kk bai.
lol, Half-Life 2 had crap vehicle sections as well. This is regarded by many as one of the more boring parts of the game even though the game ranks high.
And yes I realize that may be xalener’s point.
^yeah
Well, the part where you steal an APC in Crysis 2 lets you drive and shoot. And it was pretty damn fun. There was only two vehicle sections in that game and they were both quite brief. But frankly, I think that’s how it should be- Vehicles in Crysis 1 just made for awkward levels like Onslaught.
I got Crysis 2 a few days ago, it’s a really fun game, quite different from Crysis 1, but still has the same basic things.
The vehicle sections weren’t very fun to play, since for some reason the turret rotation sensitivity was turned way down, i could barely aim with it.
The weapons are fun to use, but i don’t like the limited set of attachments for each weapon, and i still haven’t found the 13th attachment, despite not seeing any missing attachments on any weapons.
There are also some obscure features that you might miss, like being able to stabilize your weapon by pressing the sprint button while aiming, or being able to fire pistols while cloaked without draining all your energy.
Finding the collectibles and figuring out what they do isn’t the most obvious, like the speeding tickets which are related to an achievement (does the PC version have achievements?), but at least you can see how many there are in each level in the pause menu.
Once you find all the weapon and suit attachments and start the game over you can play it in different ways, which i like a lot, although the weapon attachments have weird behavior when you use the fire mode toggle, which can cause you to switch from one weapon to another’s attachment, rather than switching to semi auto.
I’d have liked it if they explained things a bit more though, what happened to nomad and psycho, and what those nanosuits are that you find in hargreave’s office.
Are collectibles only for show or do they have actually have gameplay value.
How is the modding for Crysis 2, and would it be possible to port it Cryengine 2? Sounds like a very complicated idea, but I’m playing through Warhead after the original, and I have to say its revision of Cryengine 2 looks glorious and runs so much better than Crysis, even with an insane number of graphics mods.
I thought the game was quite good.
The graphics were brilliant, the gameplay I thought was good with the stealthy parts and that you can’t just rush in and shoot everyone and you have to think about how you’re going to tackle the level, the AI I thought could’ve been smarter but still it’s still a lot smarter than most games these days, the game is a bit glitchy (AI getting stuck on things, I feel through the ground once too) and the storyline isn’t that original. Not the best game ever but still a good game. Best game released this year so far tbh.
Souvenirs and dog tags unlock images, car keys unlock vehicles (for multiplayer, i guess), emails explain the events of the game a little more, speed tickets are an achievement, so i don’t know if it actually does anything.
Too bad you don't have a choice in the second as you did in another game that shall remain nameless.
i was playing it last night and there were 2 AI guys just walking against the wall… with a pounding sound… i lol’d.
