Crysis 2

I’d love to spend zillions on parts to run this at 1920x1200,
but then again the xbox I have hooked up to this monitor would probably be just as good.
Even if the graphics don’t bite my dick off I’ll still have a fancy vibrating controller
to immerse myself in the vietnamese-strangling action

Or you could, you know, have good controls.

Hopefully my GTX285 can pull it off at 1920x1200, otherwise I’m going to have to steal another from Raminator.

Don’t try to argue with Ramirezoid. He just likes the controversy.

I know. I’m just sayin’.

Bahahahaha… xbox? Really? Might as well not buy the game if you’re not going to get your moneys worth and actually… well, enjoy it. I’m assuming your computer isn’t total shit?

CryEngine 3 is insanely optimized. You must live in Zimbabwe if you think it’s going to cost zillions to run this game.

Yeah, but as a general rule of thumb, it’s not worth arguing with him.

Y’ever hear of exaggerating price for ironically not-comical tone? Take a hint from the cool kids, why don’t you.

But yes, arguing with me is suicide

Can’t say I’ve ever argued with you. Sounds fun <3

Care to back that up?
Of course he left out video of the billions of bugs and stupid ass shit the AI does.

Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo ONLY for xbox360 on january 25th guys.
THE AWESOME TRAILER FOR IT

well I’m not getting it for the multiplayer. and I really wish they would show ANYTHING pc.

I’ll buy for the PC, but i can’t wait for the BETA/DEMO to come out on Xbox live, I’ll play it there first. but i can’t wait to crank the shit out of the graphics, if they got it to run on a console then they hopefully optimized it more for the PC.

The graphics look great and all, but in my opinion the graphics had little to do with what made Crysis great – in fact they hurt it in some ways because people dismissed it as a generic shooter with pretty visuals, which is ridiculous. Crysis was great because it gave the player all the necessary tools to deal with a situation, then got out of the way and let the player use their own creativity to reach their goals. I don’t think I’m reaching when I say it actually has something in common with Deus Ex in that respect, just with a much larger focus on action.

However, the game turned to shit in the last 1/3 because it became much more linear, and sadly, that’s what Crysis 2 is looking like. But I’m still buying it in case Crytech proves me wrong.

I just hope it will run fine on my computer, honestly it looks like an improvement.

They say it has less of a hardware requirement than crysis while having better graphics due to a ton of work on optimization. Thats why it can run on the microshaft sexbox. The first one couldn’t even get ported to a console so this is a great improvement.

Crysis 2 might take a stronger machine to run maxed out than Crysis 1, but configuring Crysis 2 to look similar to Crysis 1 should be less strenuous on the computer (if that makes any sense).

EDIT: BTW, Crysis is one of the best FPS I’ve ever played. I started playing it just to be amazed by how good it looks, but by the middle of the game I completely forgot that it had better graphics/physics than other games because they worked so well to improve gameplay. It was just an immensely enjoyable experience, and IMO it is one of the most replayable games there is. I played it twice completely, and both times it felt like two different games, probably because I went Rambo during my first play-through and focused on stealth the second time around.
