Crysis 2. on PC it will be the next gen tech demo (because thats all the first crysis was)
on console…it will look like shit

You’d be surprised at how console gamers will jump on any game that includes big burly men in highly advanced suits.

I’m sure it will run just fine with a low-resolution that they claim is HD (cropped to fit a HDTV :fffuuu :slight_smile: with no anti-aliasing nor anisotropic filtering. Everything set to low, low LOD and probably a lot less physics.

Nah not that bad really, but not as good as the PC obviously (with PC I mean the ones with 500$ videocards in them)

You don’t need a PC with a $500 video card in them to play Crysis at reasonable framerates, a $500 PC will play it reasonably well.

Well I was aiming at the higher standards, like 1920x1200 with 4x AA / 16x AF everything set to ultra high.

My GTX285 has a hard time with that.

What is wrong with consoles? It would run it far better than my PC could anyway, and you can get some decent graphics out of a console.

I wouldn’t be surprised it finish like Alan Wake : started for PC then those consolefags robbed it.

True, my laptop cries every time my cursor approaches steam :stuck_out_tongue:

Also its easier to play a console while in a roughly horizontal position, which is handy if you’ve been on the beer

I believe Crytek is going to positively surprise us. They’ve made some pretty good things to the engine so it can run well and look pretty good on the consoles. Hell, they even were able to put in some new features that weren’t in the first Crysis.

But, of course, if you want the best looking version of them all, get the PC version.
