This is even worse than what they did with Max Payne 3.

Replacing the jungle scene with aliens added in New York? What a great idea! :awesome:
/sarcasm
[COLOR=‘Red’]Changed the title to something a little clearer.
Bleh, Crysis did very little for me. If they can make the sequel at least a little interesting, I don’t care where they set it.
Am I missing something? Why does a sequel require a facepalm?
It’s to do with the setting, not the fact it’s a sequel - hence Maxey’s comment on Max Payne 3.
Ahh, OOOH!
As long as the AI is fixed. I couldn’t play through the first because all the enemies did was get stuck on shit. The game was a joke.
Ugh. Facepalm? I think anything other than another damn jungle would be better.
Eh, I somewhat like the idea. I was a bit tired of the whole jungle setting. So long as they did it right.
Just imagine, we instead of shooting up trees, we can shoot up light posts!
If they keep full destructabliltiy throught the environment then this will be awesome.
Crysis was boring for me. Maybe a setting change will fix this?
I thought that the first was fun. It looks really good. However the new setting may work for it
Facepalm or not, can’t wait.
Crysis was not a great game gameplay wise, or at least, I didn’t have that much fun wit it.
It was a benchmarking tool for me, no more, no less.
.
I don’t mind.
This is either going to be a huge improvement, or a total nose dive.
Either way it will be interesting to see.
Was I the only one who liked Crysis? I mean its not my favorite game by any means, but it was fun. There were some bland moments, and certainly some areas that could have been better, but there wasn’t anything that I hate or that really turned me off gameplay wise.
Edit:  I just thought of something. I hope they don’t try to pull a mirror’s edge with the suit features for Crysis 2.
But it kinda makes since to have it in a city. The jungle was pretty well destroyed by the Ice dome, and the land scape was nothing but unrecognizable white. It would make since to move it to a place where you could still recognize landmarks and such even under all the ice.
I loved it, so much fun and some of the night levels I would sneak almost the entire map and only kill a handful of dudes. There were just so many different ways to approach any of the situations in the game.
It’s funny, the gameplay in Crysis was dependant on the user, so if the gameplay was boring it just meant you weren’t pushing the game or trying new things =P
^ this.
other than that, it was okay. Curious about sequel changes.
