By FAR, the time in ep2 when your crouching under the shelves and a fast zombie torso comes crawling at you with speed.
The first time I played Half-Life 2 was a great experience in general. Nothing glitched, and I really took my time and looked around everything. That all changed when I got to Ravenholm. It started off okay, but by the time I got to the place where the fast zomies first show up, I was trying my best to get hell out of there. I didn’t have much health left, and I was sprinting across the rooftops, (in that area that has the platform you have to move with a lever, and there’s that sawblade trap that breaks), when one of those fuckers comes running straight at my face. I’m freaking out and emtying the last few shots (less than a clip) of my pistol right into its head. Just as it’s about to reach me, I kill it mid-lunge with a head shot, knocking the headcrab off. But the momentum’s still carrying it forward, so I get treated to a screen-filling fast zombie face extreme close up. I had to pause the game for a second after that.
The poison zombie, especially the one or two times it shows up in random housed in Highway 17. You search the house until you feel safe, then suddenly turn around and BAM fat rotten poison zombie right in your face.

None. HL zombies never scared me.
First time I met the zombie having an epilepsy in HL. I wondered when he would jump from the chair and eat me… until I discovered he don’t move.
I like my zombies like I like my capitalist pigs. Dead and on fire.
Fast zombie that throws grenades back at you in ep2, that was scary and funny simultaneously.
Other than that, the obvious choice is when the poison zombie breaks thru the door and RAEPS UR FACE.
The fast zombie in Ravenholm is really scary, but the Gonome from Opposing Force is harder to kill, and still pretty fast! :fffuuu:

Zombies aren’t really hard enemies to kill
Even the fast ones you just look down the pipe and shoot them with the magnum
Just aim for the head, basic rule. Or use the gravity gun if there is one.

For some reason I forgot about the zombine! there’s something uniquely creepy about them that, for me, makes them kind of unsettling even in broad daylight. But I can’t quite put my finger on it. I love their undead radio chatter!

Oh I did forget about them. They could be quite ‘frightening’ in the underground parts. If they could run at you, they would, and it certainly wasn’t for hugs.

Sure as hell enough he gives you a hug. But when he reaches you his “hug” turns into an attempt to eat you alive. Take you fucking face off with his ribs/teeth. Damned gonomes.Anyway… I find the poison zombies the creepiest. One, they throw poison crab atch’ya. Two, they make those low moaning sounds…and three you kill’em, think they’re dead, then a poison headcrab comes out of nowhere, zaps your health to one while a fast zombie is beating your face in causing sudden death. Damn I typed alot. :freeman:
I hated it when I found the secret stash of weapons in the shower area of Nova Prospekt, and one of those things came up on me. Jesus. I blew the hell outa that thing even AFTER it was dead.
