So, the atheist thread is getting fouled up with talk about creationism, intelligent design and evolution. Since atheism and evolution are not the same topic, I am creating this topic to discuss those matters and leave the atheism thread to atheism-related topics.

Evolution = Educated theory backed up by many pieces of evidence.
Creationism = Overrated fairy tale with no evidence.
Intelligent Design = Bible-nut’s effort to keep religion relevant. Unfortunatly, it is actually catching in.
In a perfect world, science would win once again. But hey, it’s all about magic tricks. That’s what people want to hear.

You are right we didn’t evolve from apes.
We evolved from a common ancestor of apes.
There is undeniable evidence to show this is to be as fact.
Denying it means you are remaining willfully ignorant.
I always hate that. Apes are not human ancestors, they are human cousins.

It bscly sums my beliefs on the matter. (With the obvious exception that the Christian in question is a moron, referring to a process ongoing for billions of years as “one day”)

heres an intresting question, did man evolve from alien feces? I mean think about it some alien poop lands on the planet has some bacteria on it, couple of million years later and ta-dah prime-apes have evolved
