The accuracy and programming for the pistol, SMG, and pulse rifle is horrible…

You should know that a REAL bullet in REAL LIFE begins to drastically drop off and decrease momentum after about 100 yards. Valve can’t program every bullet to behave like the crossbow bolt as it would be too pc heavy. Considering you were talking about how “realistic” iron sights are, you should be happy that the guns behave the way they do in HL2.

You are being way too critical. Maybe you feel you have something to defend but I think you need to relax.

If replacing textures versus improving/maintaining the originals disqualifies this as a mod and makes CM a remake, than you are correct. Maybe I should not have posted in this thread, I did not realize this was the case.

From what I remember, the crossbow in HL projected similar ammo and had a significant zoom. I’d say that’s similar enough, but that is my opinion.

I am sorry, I guess using the word realistic was too specific for you. I do agree with you however, CM/HL2 is not completely realistic like you attempt to describe, but than again no game is…what you are referring to is called a simulator. CM is more realistic than HL2 and less realistic than, for instance, a game like Stalker. Each game is more or less realistic than the other in different regards…but still games, not simulators.

Tell me about it. Any time a gun is given slightly authentic accuracy they blame the programming instead of their sheer lack of skill and hand-eye-coordination.
