OT: I never knew what BMS was. I thought it was a valve game at first and you have to pay for it so idc back then. But now i have a fair pc to play BMS on.

I swear, all day today I was like “ooh black mesa” I havn’t been this excited for a mod since 2009.
I havn’t been this excited for a game since Skyrim, tbh.

I like this music, you get the feeling of a fight but towards the end you realize how this was just a workplace and at really this should of ben a normal day with people doing their jobs but they are now dead and the place became a battle field of fellow Americans killing their own people over an experiment you did that went wrong…

Are the OST track versions attached to past BM trailers and previous versions of the OST tracks available from somewhere? In some instances, I prefer the earlier iterations of some of the tracks.

This takes me back to my middle school years, when Half-Life was my favorite game and the thoughts of Black Mesa’s existence and eventually release made me more than excited.
As time went on, I began to think about Black Mesa less and less, but it never left my thoughts. Despite the fact that I am no longer an avid gamer, I have not for an instant forgotten about Black Mesa. To see that it really does exist makes me so happy and makes me think so much of when I was younger and adored this game so dearly.
Kudos to you, and thank you so much for allowing us all to have such a powerful experience.

I still remember when I stumbled across this mod in like 2004 or something. Ive lurked for years and years, made a profile, had it deleted in the data crash. More recently made a profile again, mainly lurked. Never stopped hoping this would come out.
I cannot describe how much respect I have for the BM team. You guys are pretty much in my age group after all, and in the time its been in development I’ve gone from fresh out of school and now I have my final medical exams literally 1 week after ther release date. Screw study, BM FTW! WOOOOOOO!!!

If this is in fact released on steam greenlight, they could just apply an UPDATE to add Xen and DM.
Well I am glad its being released and i understand that if development were to have continued on Xen and being released as a full game then this forum would have continued to moan and complain about an unreleased mod! I am however sad that the “When its done” approach was thrown out! Looking back at Raminators post about moving things along much faster seemed sincere and I really hope that this post was more of a crack at there own release date! I have noticed that the devs have been still killing bugs and changing things right up until the leak and even after and now a release! I guess if bugs remain then the ones who complained for a quick release will still be upset and the ones who wanted the “When its done” approach will be upset to! I will be happy with whatever i get but in the back of my mind il have a small lump of rage at those who have complained throughout development!

I usually stalk this forum to read any news, but this deserves to create a profile and congratulate you for your work.
The mod looks great and I’m perfectly fine to have it divided, mostly because Xen is the last third of the original game, so we have the biggest part in day one.
Xen will be released “when it’s done”.
