the covenant would still exsist, but without stealing tech or science from the forerunners, they wouldnt be a threat, they would probably still be in swamps, or trees or whatever they do when there not at war, they’d just be cockroaches, they wouldnt have cities, ships, weapons, the halo array, and so on

Yeah, I guess if you look at only the stuff you have seen in-games it would be closer. Still going with Combine, since they were not out to wipe out the human race, but simply enslave it. Covernent were out to kill everyone because they are crazy religiously zealous aliens. The G-man would eat their children.

Well, I’m going to do something no one else has thought up yet :retard:, I’ve played both games so I would say i can make a great comparison between which is better.
In Half-Life the combine took over the world, in 7 hours, because well they have like I don't know, millions of forces and more advanced technology, also they didn't have to worry about other planets inhabited by humans because there weren't any. The humans that put up the fight were totally unprepared and had crappy weapons compared to the combines, The humans in Half-Life are also pretty stupid, they just wont stop dieing:fffuuu: (remember the scientists?)!!! The only thing to stop the combine was Gordon Freeman (still a work in progress at stopping them) who started beating them to death with a crowbar and ended up destroying the citadel in the end with only the super gravity gun. The combines tactics are pretty good, but Gordon is like Chuck Norris compared to them, so they won't last long.
In Halo, I don't know much but ill try my best, the humans were getting their asses kicked by the Covenant Armada, and basically sucking a lot, again the humans have inferior technology compared to the Covenants, so its no wounder why they are loosing, the human marines, about 2-3 would die just trying to take down 1 elite, then the master chief game along, crashed landed on the first Halo with a bunch of other marines, when fighting the Covenant, they think very smart, using barrel rolls, grenades, little grunts as well mostly annoyance in my opinion and probably theirs too...(they fall asleep when on guard duty and you can kill them silently if you melee them in the back :3), but like Gordon Freeman they keep dieing by one hero who is generally always alone (Cortana does not count). The elites, were the toughest to beat with their cloaking, and sword slashing, o ya and precise aim with the sticky grenades (depending on the color elite and difficulty which is always set to high in any game I play). Master Chief, destroyed the Halo, with no one left alive except i think maybe 1 or 2 other people? Master Chief compared to them well is probably like, as the little grunts say a "beast" when facing them.
So all in all if i had to choose between who was better, the Combine or Covenant, I would have to say Covenant, I could go more depth than I did already but I would rather not. (FYI: Just because i said Covenant, doesn’t mean I’m a halo fan, I’ve played halo its fun to play when your bored, more fun to play when your friends are over, sucks to play online, also I don’t have an Xbox360 so there you have it)
